RHEL 4 U2 / OCFS 1.2.1 weekly crash?
Hello, I have two nodes running the 2.6.9-22.0.2.ELsmp kernel and the OCFS2 1.2.1 RPMs. About once a week, one of the nodes crashes itself (self- fencing) and I get a full vmcore on my netdump server. The netdump log file shows the shared filesystem LUN (/dev/dm-6) did not respond within 12000ms. I have not changed the default heartbeat values in /etc/sysconfig/o2cb. There was no other IO ongoing when this happens, but they are HP Proliant servers running the Insight Manager agents....

How to debug Xen and Dom0 driver?
hi, I am wondering if anybody is doing Xen or Dom0 debugging with gdb here. If yes, could you show me the procedure of doing that? Thanks, Neo -- I would remember that if researchers were not ambitious probably today we haven''t the technology we are using! _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com

IO lockups and ext3 readonly filecorruption on RHEL4 (pre and post U4)
Has anyone been seeing IO lockup problems on EL4? I've tried multiple IO scheduler options (elevator=) in the boot... I'm seeing the same behavior regardless. Independent of hardware. Whitebox ATA, HA enclosure with dedicated SCSI, megaraid RAID hardware, Dell 2850s... same behavior: A semi-busy system will suddenly go into some kind of IO la-la land where nothing can be written

Trimming the fat out of a Centos 4.4 Installation
Hi, just to avoid re-inventing the wheel, is there any document that can help me reduce even further a "minimum" installation of Centos 4.4 (BTW can you say 600mb is minimum)? I am in the process of creating a small Centos-4.4-based Asterisk box and I need to boot it from a CF card. Deleting useless packages will help me do what i want. Example: even a minimum install of Centos 4.4 (or
