[netcf] Why netcf can not rename a existing physical interface dynamically by itself?
Hi All, I have a usage question about netcf. Why netcf can not rename a existing physical interface dynamically by itself? If you have any other method, please share to me, or can we add support for it in netcf? You can see the following steps for details. Version: netcf-0.2.4-1.el6.x86_64 kernel-2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64 1. Select a existing...

Hi Martin: Actually, I have installed all the debuginfo for this coredump file. But the netcf debuginfo report "mismatch" as below: warning: the debug information found in "/usr/lib/debug/usr/lib64/libnetcf.so.1.4.0.debug" does not match "/lib64/libnetcf.so.1" (CRC mismatch). So I ignore this warning before. You can check what I did on the attachment "net...

...9;status' Check a network interface 'stop' Stop a network interface 'start' Start a network interface 'destroy' Remove network interface 'list' List IP addresses 'describe' Obtain XML description of a network interface status Matahari now basically wraps netcf calls in its network agent, so properties like MAC are not directly available, it can be extracted from netcf XML, output of the 'describe' method. But there's more to it since, netcf can also configure interfaces (not yet in Matahari schema, but it is planned). Currently, ovirt-server...

...that or I've misunderstood your question) :-) You can see more info about the possible types of networks here: http://www.libvirt.org/formatnetwork.html I've set Reply-To: in this message to libvirt-users@redhat.com. It really is a more appropriate place for these questions, as the netcf mailing list deals specifically with the netcf library, which isn't involved in any of the things we're discussing here.

virsh iface-list () - function is not supported
Hi, I am using KVM hypervisor on Ubuntu 12.04 (libvirt-0.9.8). The call to list the interfaces seem to be failing on this version of libvirt as seen below. virsh # iface-list error: Failed to list active interfaces error: this function is not supported by the connection driver: virConnectNumOfInterfaces I have seen this issue with libvirt 0.9.2 as well, which seemed to be working in 0.9.4
