Samba 4 on AIX with XLC
Has anyone tried building Samba 4.0 on AIX with XLC?
I'm moving right along, but tripping up on some bugs in source3/utils/net_rpc.c, source3/utils/net_rpc_printer.c, and source3/utils/net_cache.c where there is an invalid use of the ":" operator. net rpc shutdown does not work
...9;m using centos 5.2 up-to-date with its latest samba 3.0.28-1.el5_2.1
running a Samba PDC with OpenLDAP as backend. Everything else works fine but
somehow this command *(net rpc shutdown -t 10 -U root -S xp1 -d 1)* doesn't
work and return this with debug level 1

Problems with a trust relation between samba and samba different subnet
...Now went I run the command:
net rpc trustdom establish DOM1 on PDC DOM2 I got the error

New Samba GroupMapping
...The default mapping entries were now made only whenn using LDAP?
It is not a problem to create the entries by hand or script but it would
be usefull
having a table with the sid key's or am i wrong?
Another Problem ist getting the usersidlist.

interdomain trusts 2 samba pdcs
Hi @ll,
as i had setup a vpn ( openvpn ) and
have wins browse working nice between the 2 subnets
i wanted to setup a interdomain trust.
I did smbpasswd -a -i ... the trustaccount was created.
but
net rpc trustdom establish robowarp results in

Couldn't find domain controller for domain ROBOWARP
for sure i checked all network issuses,
the machines know eachother via wins dns and host files,
name resolution runs perfect.
versions are samba 3 and samba 3.01 ,
has anybody played with this features and can...

I then issue:

on FOOs Samba server which, according to strace, attempts to find the
BAR PDC through broadcasting on it's subnet, failing and telling me :

How do I tell the FOO domain PDC the IP address for the PDC for BAR?

net rpc shutdown not working
hi
jI'm trying to shutdown some windows XP clients with
net rpc shutdown -S <name> -U administrator%password
but all i get is this error

Trust between SAMBA and NT server

Group mapping is not showing correct value
