We log this specifically to have rsyslog dump that line (keyed on DHCPUSER)
into a MySQL database for use by a web app our development team built so
that our customers can get reports on their DHCP leases. (Neonova provides
help desk, engineering and Tier 2 and 3 tech support to rural ISPs in the
US.)
Our problem is that this method logs every entry that has the CID in the
packet. Which covers most DHCP requests. As such, with our bigger
customers, this logging bogs down MySQL (and the file system on older...

Kickstart ksdevice question
...and the kickstart script assigns names?? (We have the kickstart script
setting them as eno1 and eno2, btw.)
I've googled this to no end and haven't found a satisfactory answer.?
So, I'm hoping someone with more KS experience than I can explain it.

The City of Amsterdam has been deploying asterisk throughout the city!
...you may know by now, yesterday on the Astricon the City of
Amsterdam presented their large scale asterisk deployment of
20000 phones. Because they do not allow brand names to be used
within the city, they call it 'IP Business Manager', but the
software they use is in fact the Astium PBX, by NeoNova.
Since we are very proud of this project, we have made the Astium
available for download from the NeoNova website. You will
need a pristine CentOS machine, but it installs easily, and
even though it is written for the European market you may
want to have a look..
If you're interested, here is...

I can't update the entire system because of this boondoggle and I can't
come up with a way to resolve this safely on a running system. WTH is

MOH distorted voice in Native and MP3 format
Hello,
I have been facing an issue that voice is getting distorted sometimes in MOH
(MusicOnHold) application.
I have checked and confirmed that lame is properly installed, even tried
native formats (ulaw, alaw, gsm), but the randomly seen distortion in MOH
can't be eliminated.
I came to know about requirement of timing device for MOH and MeetMe and a
