A question on limiting the number of ssh connections to the ssh server
Hello I would like to know if there is a keyword in sshd_config that can be used to limit the number of simultaneous connections an OpenSSH server will accept. There is a MaxConnections keyword in SSH2 but I have not found a similar keyword for OpenSSH. Thanks in advance for your response Amba Giri Symbol Technologies, San Jose P: 408-528-2721 E:agiri at sj.symbol.com Symbol. The Enterprise Mobility Company.

Address Variabme for Roadwarriors
Hello All, I was just looking over how to set up the hosts files for Tinc and was wondering about how to handle Roadwarriors? It appears that the variable "Address=" must be set for individuals to connect to a host, right? Also, I am wondering about possibly using a private DNS+DHCP server combination that would allow the 10.x.x.x users to have their VPN ip resolved but this does

(no subject)
Dear all, I found this command in the HOWTO: iptables -A FORWARD -p tcp --tcp-flags SYN,RST SYN -j TCPMSS --set-mss 128 It resolve (almost) all my problems with the voip traffic on my linux-based router. The question is: What does it make exactly? It is safe to use it? Thanks for your attention, Luca Andreani _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list /

Partial files cause: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(584)
Hello, I am wondering if any of you have any ideas for what I am experiencing. I use Rsync over a local network to backup files from a laptop to my main PC which is running the server as a service. These are both Windows 2000 machines running Cygwin 1.5.18-1 and Rsync 2.6.6. It works fine unless I turn on the partial file option (--partial) and then try to resume an interrupted copy. This is

More than 10 open sessions
Hi, we use OpenSSH_3.8.1p1 and we would like to change the complete printer Spool communication from Unix r-Commands to ssh "OpenSSH". Sometimes, we have problems, because of very high connection set-ups in extremely short time intervals, more than 10 open sessions. The connection set-up is partly declined with the error message: ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote

openssh / prngd unresolved bug since 2002, need help
Hello, I apologize if this is the wrong list. It was the list I was directed towards. I have reviewed the archives as well as everything I could google before posting. Any help is most appreciated: We're seeing an error during sftp and ssh connections with consistent regularity. It's triggered by a high number of connections coming into sftp/ssh at the same time. It affects additional connections and leaves the failed connect attempts open for days in a TCP_WAIT state. We're seeing the error in the system logs: openssh session hangi...

[Asterisk-Dev] Memory Leak in Stable?
Hello, I have a client that has a fairly small installation (20 SIP Phones) that is running Stable. Asterisk appears to be consuming large quantities of memory, and growing uncontrollably to the point where after about 6 weeks the box starts to swap itself to death. I've been keeping my eye on it today, and in the last 12 hours, it has grown by about 8 megabytes, and there has been

nmbd dying
nmbd has been dying on me occasionally. I'm running mandrake 9.2 with samba3-server-3.0.0-2mdk. We've got our users in ldap but I'd seen this symptom previously when I was using an earlier version of samba that didn't support ldap. There is nothing useful in the logs and a PS shows a nmb process still running. This last time around, I had a ptrace running on both nmbd
