S Programming
...in s-plus (or in R). I just
know how to work with S-plus / R built-in functions. Therefore, I'm a
beginner in S programming.
I am looking for some on-line documentation that is well written about
"Programming in S language" where control stuctures / loops / vectorization
and necessery sequences of S programming are presented in an organized form.
Any comment / suggestion / idea / web-link / replies will be gladly
accepted. Thanks for your time.

3) copy idmap.ldb.bak from first dc to second dc, lose the .bak suffix
and just copy it over idmap.ldb on second dc

I'm not sure if it's necessery, but you can flush winbindd cache:
net cache flush
and that's it
No problems occured for me, when I did that.

Hello,
Thanks for quick reply.
File server config looks exactly like this, except more shares, all with
same simple config. I know that "use defualt domain" isn't necessery,
but it's not the issue for me right now.

Why no dhclient in ignore.d.workstation?
hello logcheck team,
is there a reason why no dhclient patterns are provided in
ignore.d.workstation? in ignore.d.server there are all necessery pattern
for dhclient, but a workstation typicaly uses dhcp an those messages
reported by logcheck are annoying.
are there any good reasons not to include dhclient patterns in
ignore.d.workstation or are they simply missed?
thank you for any feedback!

...ile the kernel myself unless it is sure that it really would help, for the
actual one is okay, (i also had a look at the kernel-config-file).
Actually I don't want to put too much effort in this, since it theoretically should work -
so if patching kernel for myself and compiling, building all necessery tools and dev-files
and finally making deb-packages would not help either, I surely will (again) be jumping out
of the window in no time...
Tricky this one, isn't it?
thx alot so far now,

looking at your smb.conf file, you are using tdb idmap (default on DC).
So the UID/SID mapping will be

samba 4 ad member - idmap = ad for machine accounts
Hello,
I have samba 4.5.10 file server as AD member (AD is also samba 4.5.10).
I'm using unix extension for windows rsat to set UIDs for all users and
on samba AD member i'd prefer to use idmap = ad to have consistent file
permissions across multiple file servers.
My issue is with machine accounts. RSAT extension doesn't allow for easy
"uid" setting for machine
