Disable SMB v1
Given this recent announcement
https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/current-activity/2017/01/16/SMB-Security-Best-Practices
How does one turn off and verify the SMB protocol setting? I'm a bit
confused by looking at the man page for smb.conf. I have the following
set which I believe to be the default settings.
samba-tool testparm -v | grep "max proto...

bind (named) compromised?
I'm having problems where my upstream bandwidth is being saturated. I've
narrowed it down to a DNS issue of some type. If I stop the named
service then my bandwidth drops to "normal" according to my untangle
firewall.
I'm running bind-9.3.6-20.P1.el5_8.6.
I'm seeing the following in /var/log/messages:

Server used in DOS attack on UDP port 0
Hi,
One of our AWS machines was used in an DOS attack last night and I am
looking for possible attack vectors. AWS tells me it was sending UDP port 0
traffic to a cloudflare address.
This instance had an incorrectly configured AWS security group exposing all
ports.
The server in question is a Centos 7 based FreeIPA server, OpenVPN
concentrator and DNS server.
With a brief inspection before the

CentOS 5 + Quagga + SELinux
Hello All,
Does anyone happen to be running Quagga on CentOS 5 with SELinux in
enforcing mode?
Have you had to create SELinux policies or did it "just work" out of the
box?
(I'll get around to building this out on CentOS 6 as well.)
I'm simply trying to write my config (for the zebra daemon) and it can't be
