R128gain & metaflac
...tag. If some audio player reads Opus tags then it should >be aware of the difference between ReplayGain and R128. But this doesn't >require REPLAYGAIN_REFERENCE_LOUDNESS tag. > > The Opus replaygain spec is fundamentally broken, so let's ignore that for now. It is discussed ad nauseam elsewhere, but isn't going to change any time soon. I agree any replaygain reference loudness tag should only apply to other REPLAYGAIN* tags, although placing R128 gain values (adjusted by some arbitrary amount or otherwise) in REPLAYGAIN* tags raises some interesting questions. As already di...

IAX Passing Variables
Well, this kinda sux. We have three Asterisk servers. Phones register to a single, primary server. When a phone on one wants to reach a phone on another, we use DUNDi to discover the destination pbx and IAX to transfer the call to the other Asterisk box. This seems to be a fairly common practice amongst Asterisk users, yes? Well, what about setting variables before call placement? Say you want

Loops
...{ b0f[i,]<-c(predict(arima(para_qtr[1:(n-8),1],order=c(ar.ord,1,ma.ord)), n.ahead=foreL)$pred) } } } sure- this one doesn't work. the matrix b0f only consists of the forecast of the ARIMA(3,1,3)-model. I need the forecasts of ARIMA(1,1,1), ARIMA(2,1,1) ARIMA(3,1,1), ARIMA(3,1,2) and so on ad nauseam in the lines of the b0f matrix. I would be glad if someone could help me. best regards, fred -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/Loops-tp3814162p3814162.html Sent from the R help mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

problems apt-getting from CRAN
Hi there, I hope that's not been asked ad nauseam (but I could not find it in the archives...) but, if I put a CRAN mirror in my sources.list and I try to install the latest R version for 'testing' I get the warning that the packages cannot be autenticated. I tried to figure out how to get a GPG key from the mirror I'm using (the...

Slow file transfers from server to XP clients
...the Nic to 100 full in dos before placing in the Linux box. Really at an end of my knowledge which was limited in the first place, just not sure why this isn't working and really trying to avoid putting 2k3 on there. Any Help would be greatly appreciated, or if the topic has been discussed ad-nauseam then if you could post some links or point me in the right direction that would be helpful.

Easy switch from Fedora 14 to CentOS 6??
Of course I can switch, I know, by brute force : just install CentOS over top of Fedora. But that would require a tedious day (of manually re-tweaking panels, adding & removing software, etc. ad nauseam, *and* transferring a backup copy of my data back onto the machine) -- which I'd prefer to avoid. What I want to do, if I can, is emulate the upgrades I've been doing with each new release of Fedora. I'm hoping, since the like can be done from SL, maybe it can also be done from Fe...

Problem on FC3
I''m getting a VFS kernel panic when trying to booting to FC3 from Xen. Its the one that says I must supply a valid "root=" option. (sorry I don''t have it verbatim.) I''m using the xen-2.0 binary installer, kernel 2.6.9. I am using ext3fs, but I am fairly certain that I have compiled support into the kernel. (I''ve tired compile xen from the 2.0

getent not showing domain users and groups with winbind but works with sssd
...with netlogon and sysvol, just like any Windows AD server AD member server CentOS 7-1804, Samba 4.7.1 installed from CentOS repositories, intended for use as a file server, with shares for roaming profiles, home directories, and data shares. I know that the getent problem has been discussed ad nauseam here, but this really beats me. The AD server works, except for dynamic DNS updates, which seems to be a known problem, so I'm not going to mention it here further. Winbind seems to work, displaying groups and users through wbinfo. Kerberos also works. Had a bit of a problem joining the me...

I haven't seen anyone make any concrete proposals for how it should change. Maybe I missed something. AFAIK, the only objection to it is that there is no way to distinguish between whether the header gain is also an R128 album gai...

keep 2 dirs in sync
...to delete it from both hosts manually. Am I missing something? Is there some other direct way to do this? It appears that one would need a utility that maintained a separate copy of the dirs in order to know what had been deleted before performing the sync. This has probably been discussed ad nauseam in the rsync community but I haven't been able to find it. Other solutions? Thanks Mike

[Bug 2007] New: The literal string ${prefix}/bin appears in the user PATH under some circumstances
...eference was the default in the past and people with old config.sites are likely to have it as their default still. (You can even have repeated references to NONE in there, i.e. a ${bindir} containing a reference to a variable which itself contains a NONE, references to further variables, et seq ad nauseam.) Most people don't do that, so most OpenSSH installations are not vulnerable: but it's probably worth fixing anyway. Patch attached (which in theory might cause configure to hang if ${bindir} contains a loop of variable references, but every other configure script out there will also han...

There are some examples for comparisons of variances but not linear models. If I take the hellung data set, which is
