Is this the right syntax for computer groups with ldap ? I tried using a

I use LATEST Debian 4 (samba 3.0.24) UP-TO-DATED.

Really small Linux and NAS
I have a really nice, old Libretto 110. Only 64Mb memory.
I want to put Linux on it and have a network monitoring system and a
traveling NAS.
But all of the NASs have seemed to have grown beyond their original 64Mb
size (FreeNAS now needs 128Mb).
Only thing I have found is:
http://www.linux-watch.com/news/NS8289526009.html
Talking about Unbutu 6.0 and the 'Server' install that can run in 64Mb
and provide NAS.
Any pointers?

streams_xattr & streams_depot
...does xattr store its data?
3. depot is marked as ?experimental? however my QNAP NAS uses it in its production OS (vfs objects = shadow_copy2 catia fruit qnap_macea streams_depot aio_pthread). Why is it still experimental?
4. Would there be any issues with files to/from my Mac clients to separate NASs - one the QNAP, the other using the recommended fruit parameters (vfs objects = catia fruit xattr)
Thanks.

how to access public shares without password even when security = user
...me password.
But I want to omit having a login window pop up in the top level of the
shares. how should I go about doing that? (of course that will map me to
some guest user and give me access to public folders. the private folders
should still throw a login window at me)
Thank you for your help

I include this line automaticly, because I can see that this is not the
original from the packet but important for me not to override at an
update.

How to shutdown macOS / mac OSX from Network UPS Tools client - NUT
...m-network-ups-tools-client-nut <https://superuser.com/questions/1441153/how-to-shutdown-macos-mac-osx-from-network-ups-tools-client-nut>
I’m looking for help in shutting down my iMac on detecting a power failure while running from a UPS.
My setup is an APC SMT750i UPS, powering two Synology NASs, an iMac, plus the network kit (router, switch etc.). This is all fine. (Synology runs a variant of Linux plus NUT). I have installed NUT (v 2.6.5) on the iMac (High Sierra 10.13.6) using MacPorts. One NAS is connected directly to the UPS via USB and acts as the ‘master’ in the NUT network, the o...

the /dev/ttyUSB0 to the virtual machine. There I installed the LanSafe

So there is something else going on here, directly on the host, which I

Any ideas?

Samba 4.1.3 and MS-CLIENT 3
Hi all,
I have the following problem: I installed Samba 4.1.3
on my Linux computer. I tested everything via smbclient
and it works. If I connect my MS-DOS Client 3 to this
server strange things happens. Using
net use h: \\<sambaserver>\<username>
I get the correct (?) answer
H: connected to \\<sambaserver>\<username>
But using "H: dir" I get
