Hullo, All... I have HPUX 10.20 with SaMBa 2.2.3a installed... All I want to do is make a single share with read only access for everybody, no matter the user people are using, in other words, they don't need to have the user on the server side. hello, there are 3 problems i've been having with samba for a very long time. i was hoping to get them resolved once and for all. my smb.conf file is attached. 1) my printer is shared via samba and i'm using the cups print system. i can see the printer from my win2k and winxp machines, but it says "unable to connect, access denied". how do i remedy this problem? 2)

Everything works ok, except I can's get res_config to populate sip.conf (or any other conf file for that matter). my unixodbc works and I can access the database with the isql tool. Hi I have too samba pdc each controlling it's own domain. My old Redhat 7.2 (samba 2.2.2) is working fine with logons fra win 2k machines. On the redhat 7.3 (tried samba 2.2.3a, 2.2.2, 2.2.5) it ads the machine accounts, are in /etc/password and /etc/samba/smbpassword with the $ where they should be. The problem is that I can not log in to the domain comtrolled by the 7.3 machine. It
