Strange window behavior
I run several programs under Wine. Specifically, I'm running the win32 half-life server, hlds.exe, and the program TotalCommander, a windows file manager program. If I try to minimze either of these programs, they minimize and immediately pop back up again. Is there a way to stop this from happening so that when I minimze them, they minimize and stay minimized? -------------- next part

Looking for HowTo Postifx, Dovecot and PostgreSQL
Hi folks, I know it's a bit a n00bish question, but I'm a little confused about this many different ways on setting up dovecot with postfix and using a PostgreSQL backend for virtual hosts. I've found this one quiet helpful: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/DovecotPostgresql even it seems to be little outdated for recent versions of dovecot (the auth part of dovecot.conf). Also its

[RFC] Are patches sitting too long in the tracker - PatchRails to the rescue?
Hi, List, I read the ''this is why ror sucks'' - thread with some amusement. I''m pretty delighted by rails and would like to thank the community and especially the core developers for being great. I''m a little afraid that the last post to this thread hasn''t got the attention that it deserves and therefore I''d like to link it here again and

Wine and 3D rendering issues
Hi everyone, I hate to ask n00bish questions, but after several days of forum scouring and searching for answers, I'm at a loss as to where to go next. I'm a long-time Linux CLI user, but I haven't really played with Wine or many aspects of the GUI-end until recently. I've been trying to get two of my favorite Windows games to run on my Debian Testing install, and keep coming to

Firewire question (Centos 4.4)
Assuming I have a firewire card with a supported chipset, is there anything special I need to do in order for the kernel to recognize the card? Shouldn't kudzu "wake up" and configure the card when I boot up after installing it? This is a brand spanking new 4.4 system and a supported Agere chipset firewire card. I'm having trouble tickling devices connected to the card.

Philosophical questions
Disclaimer: The following are observations by a relatively new user (couple of weeks) of RSpec and not intended as RSpec trollbait. Also, forgive me if similar topics have been discussed elsewhere on the mailing list. I at least did the due diligence of a quick search. That said... I''ve been positively thrilled with RSpec for use outside of Rails. It has been in my attempts
