Samba WINS Server losing all elections against

Here is my smb.conf:

Re: Samba 3.0.23c + Win2K AD, can't mount shares (PANIC: internal error)
...up function execution.
When we perform a search through the web with user_in_netgroup as the keyword, we get
several interesting results.
Especially this BTS entry :
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4145
As a workaround, you may use "+" prefix.
admin users = @"myworkgroup\Admins du domaine"
=> admin users = +"myworkgroup\Admins du domaine"
I hope it helps

XP clients cannot find Samba
...The Samba server, ubuntu, is on the other side
of a Linksys WRTP54G router, serving NAT to my Windows XP clients on
the inside. I've opened port 139 on the router, set up NetBEUI,
placed entries in the clients' hosts & lmhosts files. For some
reason, the clients can logon to the MYWORKGROUP domain, but only on
one desktop. Logging out and attempting to log in on another computer
get this message, "The system cannot log you on now because the domain
MYWORKGROUP is not available."
Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks.

create mask
...r files I create, I get "operation not permitted".
I wish to stress here that this did not happen with samba 2.0.7 on an nt4
domain, it started with 3.x on an ADS domain.
I used to mount it like so:
/usr/bin/smbmount //servername/public_tmp /mnt/public_tmp -o
username=chris,workgroup=myworkgroup
But, obviously, it doesn't want to work anymore, so I tried this:
smbmount //servername/public_tmp /mnt/public_tmp -o
username=chris,workgroup=myworkgroup,krb,dmask=777,umask=000
I appreciate any help.
Thanks!

winbindd PID name resolution mis-behaviour with Linux (openSuse 10.1)
...on my 2nd system
when I do the same command, I have to wait about 10-15 seconds for each

Any hints? Workarounds? It seems to apply on Suse 10, since Suse 9 works
flawlessly.
Cheers

performance is never better than half the speed. This happens with WinXP,

problem. Network is gigabit, with Intel Pro/1000 adapters.

testparm and includes
Hi list!
I've read some remarks here and in other places that it would be good
practice to not edit the smb.conf file directly but rather keep a
smb.conf.master file, edit that and then do a testparm -s > smb.conf.
Here comes my problem:
My smb.conf file uses some include statements. When using testparm those
include lines are still in the output directly followed by the content
of the
