explorer.exe crashes on security tab access
The same thing happen if the group on a file is wheel or any other unix
group. I also now observed that this also happens to unix users that are
not mapped in idmap.ldb.
For example:
# useradd myunixuser
# touch myfile
# chown myunixuser myfile
# chgrp SAMDOM\sambauser myfile
alos crashes explorer.

SAMBA digest 1898
I would like to request you Samba gurus , what is the significance of teh
file " username-map " which currently is in
/usr/local/samba/lib. I have tried the following entries:
jhall = hall_j
kamal = kamal
root = root
but i dont know what it does , now the question : Can i manage users with
this file , i.e I just add entries to this file on the fly and the users
will have access to the

group mapping
Hi all
If i add something like "myunixuser = MYDOMAIN+domainuser" to my
username.map ist works. but if i do the same with groups ("myunixgroup
= @"MYDOMAIN+domaingroup") i can no longer map my samba shares...
any idea?
what is the difference between "./net groupmap ..." and using a username.map?
