Problems with tdb-database after migration from Debian-Samba-3.2.5-4lenny6 to Samba-3.2.5-4lenny7
...h the smb.conf and /var/lib/samba with the tdb-database has been hold.
Now I've inexplicable effects with my tdb-database.
- I cannot list my admin - user, which is the domain-administrator, in my passwd.tdb.
- I cannot attach any longer WindowsWorkstations to my domain.
1.) My samba-version:
myserver1:~# apt-cache policy samba

Installiert: 2:3.2.5-4lenny7
2.)Problem with pdbedit -L :
myserver1:~# pdbedit -L | grep admin
myserver1:~#
>>> You see, there is nothing....
3.) But pdbedit -u admin -v is successful:

I have SAMBA 3.2.5 on Linux\Debian 5
I using Winbind for connect to MS Active Directory Windows 2003 and get
a list of all users.

XP remote requests problem
...nged on the linux side, but an updated security template was loaded
on the XP machines that cannot connect.
The users are able to ping the server, see the server in Network
Neighborhood, and ssh into the server. However, when they try to connect
to the shares they get the following msg... "myserver1 does not accept
remote requests"
Nothing looks odd in the nmbd and smbd log files. Further, I have a
second linux box running RedHat 9 with samba 2.2.7a. All clients are
able to access these shares, including those that can't connect to the
3.0.3-5 shares.
