rsync backup problems
I have FreeBSD 7.3 running rsync 3.0.7. I need to backup a remote server to a local drive. This remote server has several filesystems types that dont require backing up, like nfs. If I run the following command: rsync --delete -azHv myremote:/ /machines/myremote/ It will copy ALL filesystems which is not what I want, so I assume I need to do it on a per filesystem basis like: rsync -x --delete -azHv myremote:/ myremote:/usr myremote:/usr/local /machines/myremote/ This worked EXCEPT the /usr/local/ was put into /machines/myremote/loc...

dovecot and unison
I am successfully using dovecot purely as a personal local mail store on my desktop. (There is only one account, and it's only ever accessed by local mail clients on the machine. The point is to have a common store I can use with any client; plus, I prefer dovecot's Mailbox storage to Thunderbird's mboxes.) Now I'd like if possible, to replicate this setup on my laptop and

What about your openvpn config? The tun net must have an entry in your hosts allow. If you work with briding the remote network has to be the same subnet as the local!? Bridging is the best way to have a remote net integrated. I have one logging in form Berlin on my Samba-Domain.
