smbclient/mount question
...res from the new linux box but I can get nothing to
work. I would use NFS between the linux boxes but the support isn't
compiled into my kernel, and I don't want to tackle that beast tonight...
To test I tried the smbclient first:
smbclient //myhost/myshare /mnt/mymount username=myname/MYHOUSE
It prompts me for a password but I get an ERRbadpw (Bad password -
name/password pair is in a Tree Connection or Session Setup are invalid.)
Is it a problem with password encryption or something? When I do a
'smbclient -L myhost' I can see the shares. I think my lmhosts is correct

doorstep account with no perms and really long passwords to get anywhere
useful.
I looked through the SSH book and it gave me the impression that I could set
up these rules:
AllowUsers wiz@*.myhouse.nat
AllowUsers doorstep@*
But when I tested it was clear that OpenSSH 2.9 doesn't support this syntax.
Then I searched this list and I found a post from June 4 by Andrew Tridgell
supplying a patch to provide exactly this functionality.

sip registration problems
i installed yesterday asterisk cvs version and tried to register
asterisk as a sip ua with my proxy. there was two problems that i was
not able to solve with the style of register line shown in the default
sip.conf:
register => foo:password@proxy.com
