Samba access denied or only shows top level directories
When ONE PARTICULAR user connects to \\mydev\oubsgout <\\mydev\oubsgout>
the user (running win95) connects( from windows explorer) but only sees top
level directories in the share. Any ideas as to why only one user should be

Rails cannot connect error after updating using ruby and rails to slightly newer versions
I am on a mac. Have been developing using a manually installed
(according to the hivelogic instructions) ruby, rails, gems, mongrel
setup. Life was good.
When I noticed that my ruby version was out of date, I decided to
switch to using macports to maintain the software on my mac. I used it
to install a new ruby and gems, and then used gems to get the latest
rails. Life seemed to be good.

redirecting guest stdio to the host

I have a program running on a VM guest. Its output is valuable (for VM introspection) so I want to let the host module know about it. I prefer to redirect ' stdio" of a guest into a device at the host (a text file or my device that has the name "mydev"
and the driver is written for it).
I have the XML definition file for my VM in /etc/libvirt/qemu. I have added the section:

Authentication without password
Hi all,
for one of my developpements, I need to be able to connect an IMAP
server
with a login but without password.
(I use dovecot 1.0.beta3)
For the userdb, I use "userdb static" :
userdb static {
args = uid=114 gid=114 home=/mydev/mail/%u
}
But I don't know how to allow IMAP connection by my application
without password.
I won't connect to a database, having a user/password file or
something like this ...
I think to use "passdb checkpassword" to call a fake authentication
script ....

GLM output for deviance and loglikelihood
It has always been my understanding that deviance for GLMs is defined
by;
D = -2(loglikelihood(model) - loglikelihood(saturated model))
and this can be calculated by (or at least usually is);
D = -2(loglikelihood(model))
As is done so in the code for 'polr' by Brian Ripley (in the package
'MASS') where the -loglikehood is minimised using optim;

Support for Online Yunto and Zinto

I have a Yunto e a Zanto ups connected with usb with id 06da:0002 and 06da:0601.
I have seen that people had some success using megatec driver.
But now megatec is replaced by blazer-usb and I am not able to use my upses
under nut.
Can you help me?
