Hello! I have the latest Wine version, SuSE7.3 (up to date) and the standard SuSE Kernel 2.4.4. When i wanna play CS i use the OpenGL Video mode, but ihis error message comes up: "The selected OpenGL mode is not supported by your video card" I have a Geforce2 MX400 card and the NVIDIA drivers. The last time I found it like this I tried to kill xorg. kill -15 wouldn't kill it so I tried kill -9, then the whole box seized up, requiring a reset. sometimes it's already unresponsive, even to ssh or ping, by the time I notice the problem. it's running an old Nvidia Geforce 4 MX400 card and the Nvidia proprietary driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.01-pkg1.run, downloaded directly from the nvidia web site. the date on that file is Oct 2007, so that means that's the one that it has been using since then. but it's only the last 6 weeks or so it's started doing this. oth...

Hi all, i have run starcraft from the debugger, and it's fast. (Well, about as fast as win98 on a P-60) I have run it from wine, and it's slow (about a 468-33) The real machine i runt it from is a celeron 416, 160 MB ram, geforce 2 mx400 PCI I *finaly* discovered i could get a trace from it by using winedbg -debugmsg i.e. ONE dash. I run a diff on both files, and i was surprized to see so many differences. Hello, I have a problem with wine video. Previously, I had no DRI present in my system, because the distro maintainers of the distro I use (paldo (http://www.paldo.org)) dropped support for nvidia's legacy drivers (and my card is Geforce MX400 64MB). However, currnet update in the standard nvidia-glx package seems to fix the problem and my system has DRI back again, with a little trick however: the vendor seems to be SGI (i have no idea why their driver is used and how it coped with NV card). But, anyway, wine wasn't effected by this...

I've tried both vesa and nv in the driver section in my xorg.conf,and they work fine,I can get to the desktop (although,I have to do a rmmod -f the nouveau.ko module for the nv driver to work. I have been using my Geforce MX400 (NV11)with the nouveau driver with no problems,I get to KDM normally with that Graphics Card. I have attached my dmesg,Xorg.0.log and a snippet of my kdm.log.
