I need help with Musicmatch and my samba server.
...d am moving to it because of my
frustration with Mr. Gates etc. I have two linux servers running redahat 8
with the the samba distribution within that package. They are set up as
music servers for my house. The rest of my household uses win98 for everyday
applications and that is my problem. Musicmatch to 7.2 works great with my
servers but the newest versions are intermittent when playing across the
newwork. They play or burn some with no problem while others don't play or
record. Musicmatch sees all the tracks. All other windows competitors that
I have tried play fine across the netw...

Ogg Movies
Hi!
I was very pleased when I realized that it is possible to use OGG VORBIS for
compressing the audio streams of my movies.
But because the AVI standard (*.avi) doesn't support VORBIS audio streams, I
had to use the OGG MEDIA standard (*.ogm) instead for my movies.
Are there any tools (or VirtualDub plugins ???) for editing Ogg Media
Streams?
I would like to change the Video FrameRate in

Tag Proposal -> Tag Standard
...bvious and the answers are
never clear cut - check out the archives, man! The user will want
boxes to fill in and a button labelled "Save".
5) In the end, without a definitive standard, ogg tags will likely be
left in the hands of GUI developers. Why is this so bad? Well,
imagine MusicMatch decides to implement a certain set of tags, and
lacking any good external documentation to reference, they develop
there own "Ogg Standard" which is published to their web site.
Immediately they become a large, influential force in the Ogg Vorbis
community. Again, lacking good docum...

vorbis tag for general music type?
Hi, I am wondering if vorbis has a standard tag for general music type.
I don't mean pop, jazz, etc., but something more in line with describing the
mood of the mucic.
I am thinking of games which have a soundtrack in vorbis format which could
use the user's own repository of .ogg files during gameplay, and use the tag
to choose appropriate music for that part of the game. For
