Ext3 indexed directory extension.
...ash: SHA1 Hi, Searching in the ext3 filesystem mailing list I have seen that there is an indexed directory extension for it. Is this extension stable code ? Has anyone test it ? How may I obtain and install it ? Is it available in any of the last kernel releases ? Some bytes removed.
...ginal file. (3) Remove the original file. (4) Move the new file to be the original file. The problem with this process is that it uses lot of disk I/O. Actually only one disk block of the file is modified. Is there any other way to do that using an ext3 file system ?
