...locks the flow, and is cheaper than a mixer. I would guess that a mixer has something like this built in.
There are other possible causes for this, but I would also suspect that it is not a computer problem, but a physical problem.

Actually, that's DarkIce 0.5's output. DarkIce 0.6 says:
DarkIce 0.6 live

Downsampling mp3 on-demand streams
Hello,
We're streaming radio programs at both 128kbsp and 32kbps, but only
archiving the 128kbps stream to save storage space. I'd like to give users
a similar choice of bitrates when they request an archived stream (served
through icecast's /file/ functionality). Is there a way to change the
bitrate on the fly, or do I really need to save archive both bitrates?
Thanks for the

DarkIce 0.6 and Lame 3.89: underlying sink error
Hey,
I've compiled DarkIce 0.6 dynamically linked to LAME 3.89. I'm running
Slackware 8 and using gcc 2.95.3. Running DarkIce yields the following
output:

Using config file: darkice.cfg

DarkIce and archiving things
Hello,
After solving my previous problem with DarkIce, I have another question.
I'm streaming for a radio station, and we want to archive our shows. I'm
writing a little script that talks to our schedule database and "rotates"
mp3 files much the same way one might rotate syslog. My problem is,
DarkIce only lets you specify a /remote/ file to save, not a /local/ file.
I know I

Ubuntu, Exim, deliver: permissions/setgid problem
Hello all,
I have a little problem. I'm trying to set up Dovecot deliver (1.0 beta
3) as the LDA for Exim4 on Ubuntu 6.06 with MBOX, and I'm running into
permissions problems. Exim typically wants to run pipes as the user to
whom the mail is being delivered (as per the "check_local_user").
deliver needs access to the auth socket and needs to be able to create
files in /var/mail.

I agree! Also, something I've been looking for is a way to pull
