Question abt power calculation in multistrata data using Hmisc or other package
Hi,
I have two unequal patient groups belonging to different
geographic locations, treated by different drug regimens and their
survival data. N1=150 and N2=60
In each group of data there are
three strata for one independent variable- treatment status (2=two
drugs administered, 1=only one conventionally used drug administered,
0=no drug administered), dead or not and months to death. In order to

...ecay class, suspension). With normal response y one can use R to get the between and within site information using aov(y~u+v+Error(site)) where u and v are independent variables. Problem is we have a binary response (burn or not), so need to use glm. I need to know if it is possible to use glm with multistrata and if so how.

Error: object is not a matrix
Hi,
I have encountered the following error, when using 'aov', which I think
has something to do with the length of my call to 'aov', and I cannot
understand why:
Error in model.frame.default(formula = Y2 ~ P2 + P2:AAAAAAAA +
P2:B2 + :
object is not a matrix
The error occurs when I run the first sequence below, but not the
second. The two sequences are based on the SAME

Unbalanced ANOVA in R?
Hi all
I'm trying to complete a textbook example originally designed for SPSS
in R, and I therefore need to find out how to compute an unbalanced
ANOVA in R.
I did a search on the mailinglist archives an found a post by Prof.
Ripley saying one should use the lme function for (among other things)
unbalanced ANOVAs, but I have not been able to use this object.
My code gives me an error.. Why
