PxeLinux menu.c32 chaining
...oppyless platforms. But I also need to load a BartPE and the other BS loader does not support that. So I tried to use menu.c32 but did not succeed.
The following default works:

multinet.bs is a 3COM bootstrap loader V1.10 which also supports menus, but no chain loading. multinet.bs is configured to directly load a DOS bootfloppy image without showing a menu.

network-multinet usage?
Still trying to make my VMs appear on a subnet of their very
own and route traffic to/from them from the Dom0.
This network-multinet script sounds ideal for what I want:
http://thepenguinpriest.com/linux/scripts/network-multinet.html
However, the description of building a routed network says
I need to call the script and give it the "virtual ethernet
device (vethX)" that lives in Dom0.
Where the heck do I get one of...

xen 3.2 network problems
Hi,
I try to get networking running with xen 3.2, but it seems I fail miserably.
I am on sles10sp1, with xen 3.2.0, and kernel rpm''s installed from SP2.
I configured in /etc/sysconfig/network the NETWORK_LIST:
NETWORK_LIST="bridge,0,default,00:DE:AD:BE:EF,192.168.8.13/24,dhcp-off"
but an ifconfig xenbr0 still shows the mac address of peth0

Wierd timestamp problem
..., AIX, True64 and VMS systems reading and
writing to the nfs drives. I am running rsync on Solaris 8 servers. What
seems to happen is when a file gets updated in a certain way on a VMS
system, it does not change the modification time of the file on the unix
servers. This seems to be a bug in multinet and vms file
versioning. Anyway, we need a work around quickly and we don't think we'll
see one out of Compaq or Multinet any time soon.
I think I can get away with specifing the "--checksum" flag, but
I'm just not sure.
Also, right now we are doing thi...

Running "install /boot/grub/stage1 (hd1) (hd1)1+16 p

Done.

Reboot, you're done.
Question: A simple power outage will kill grub's mbr or am i just plain unlucky?

Optus Australia Multiline SHDSL service
Hi,
I am currently trying to find a replacement for a dinosaur PBX and want
to replace it with a VoIP solution.
We have just moved our lines over to an Optus Multiline from a Telstra
ISDN Onramp 30 service with 100 lines.
My question for you good people is what sort of hardware do I need to
interface Asterix into the Optus Multiline? The Optus service is
terminated in my office to a SHDSL

multiple providers
Hi,
I have Mandrake 10.0 (official). I have read the section in lartc about
"Routing for multiple uplinks/providers", but still I have some queries
below.
I have a DSL connection where they give pppoe which is directly terminated
into eth1 of my Linux box. Now I have another machine connected to dial-up
and it is on same LAN connected to eth0 of Linux box. Now, can I use

Is Linux based Router feasible
Hi,
I''ve a local LAN consisting of about 150 machines. I''m using a Linux
machine as the gateway machine which inturn connects to two different
ISPs. My question is can a Linux based machine match the performance of
a hardware based routers provided by Cisco,... OR is my decision to go
for a Linux based solution is a wrong one?.
Is there so much difference between these

4.2 Lockup on Fujitsu-Siemens Primergy Econel 200
Hello everybody,
I'm looking for some insights on reproductible lockups with this server
so please bear the long description that follows:
Installed the 4.0 Centos than yum updated it so it results a 4.2 Centos
fully updated. During the instalation and update there were no cold
boots. That's important because if (updated Centos or not) you cold boot
the server it stucks at the
