MP4/H.264 codec for Firefox?
Hello,
I am trying to get MP4/H.264 playback in Firefox to work on my CentOS
laptop (for vimeo).
I installed the gstreamer plugins as described here:
https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/MultimediaOnCentOS7
(No, I did not install Flash, VLC and all the other stuff. I only want
HTML5 MP4 playback..)
I enabled the nux repos. I did install all available gstreamer plugins,
i.e. -good -bad -ugly -ffmpeg etc. No success.
Has anybody got mp4 playback working?
Here's a test page:

fine, in commandline, playing one specific file. I didn't try to
figure out commandline playlist building.
The nux repository, mentioned at the top of this centos wiki page,
has mplayer (and a bunch of other audio-related things).

How to install libquicktime on CentOS 7 in one (or two) line of command?
Hi,
For some reason, I need support of QuickTime on my CentOS 7. So I
searched the internet and found that something called "|libquicktime|"
can provide that support. So I download the rpm file from
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=libquicktime%28x86-64%29.
Then I ran command "|rpm -i libquicktime-1.2.4-31.el7.x86_64.rpm|" and
got the following errors:

Thank you but what my question is looking for is a way to automatically
install all dependencies of a rpm file, not just how to install
multimedia things on CentOS.
PS: after go over all steps in that page, I still got error:

It's in the nux desktop repo for CentOS 7. If you look at the wiki tips and
tricks, http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/MultimediaOnCentOS7 it gives
instructions to install it.

mplayer is pulling in 83 dependencies! I think I'll look for something
a bit more self-contained.

Command line mp3 player
I have a CentOS 7 server that I want to use as an audio source for our
hold music. It does not have a GUI installed, so I am looking for a
program with a command line interface that will let me play a folder
full of mp3 files on a continuous loop.
MOC seems to do what I want, but I can't find a build for CentOS 7. Is
there another program that I can use for this?
Thanks.
