Mysterious issues with reading text files from R in ArcGIS and Excel
It seems within the last ~3 months Ive been having issues with writing text or csv files from a R data frame.  The problem is multifold and it is hard to filter  out what is going on and where the problem is.  So, Im hoping someone else has come across this and may provide insight.   My current settings for R: R version 2.15.2 (2012-10-26) Platform: x86_64-w64-mingw32/x64 (64-bit) locale: [1] LC_COLLATE=Swedish_Sweden.1252  LC_...

Namespace delimiter...
As RFC3501 (IMAP) say: 'A NIL hierarchy delimiter means that no hierarchy exists; the name is a "flat" name.' How to change delimiter to NIL? We have flat namespaces in our storage. Now I hardcoded this and everything is working, but maybe it is another possibility... -- Konrad

Upgrade R?
I am trying to upgrade to R 2.14 from R 2.13.1 I have compied all the libraries from the 'library' directory in my existing installation (2.13.1) to the installed R 2.14. Now I want to uninstall the old installation (R 2.13.1) and I get the error: Internal Error: Cannot find utCompiledCode record for this version of the uninstaller. Any ideas? Kevin [[alternative HTML

A "rude" question
Dear all, I am beginner using R. I have a question about it. When you use it, since it is written by so many authors, how do you know that the results are trustable?(I don't want to affend anyone, also I trust people). But I think this should be a question. Thanks, Ming
