Multicolor main title in a plot or mtext
Dear R-users, the problem I'm facing today is to write a multicolor main title in a plot. I would like to have 3/4 colors to help people in the audience to visually realize what is what in a 4x2 plot array On top of each plot I would like to have two lines. The 1st line will indicate what is plotted The 2nd line will indicate a a reference Graphically speaking I would like a result similar

Can R plot multicolor lines?
I have a number of continuous data series I'd like to plot with the first 2/3 or so of each plotted in one color with the last 1/3 plotted in another color. I've thought of plotting 2 lines that abut each other by determining where the first portion ends and attach the second portion. Is there a simpler way that i have not thought of or discovered through the mailing list, Intro to R,

PXE boot Centos 4.0beta problems
Has anyone yet tried PXE booting the vmlinuz/initrd.img set from Centos 4.0beta2? I have a pxelinux setup that is booting 3.4 PXE images fine, but the equivalent setup for 4.0beta loads the kernel and then splashes the monitor full of multicolor random characters. Not a good start to an install... Anyone had luck? Any changes for PXE boots known for 4.0? Thanks in advance. -Alan

Help with multicolored points in one plot
Hello all, I have a situation where I'd like to plot points from multiple groups of data in one plot. I'd like each group's points to be colored a different color. I've seen people comment on how you can alternate colors by providing a range of colors and then it will loop through each color as it plots individual points. However, that just goes by individual points and not by

The error is now consistent, occuring every time I load the game between the pylotro launcher and the game launch itself. If I click for the error box to go away the video corruption also goes away and the game launches and plays normally. After closing the game the video corruption returns along with my normal desktop. [Bug 17571] New: Nouveau and PPC64 issues
...- Removing nvidiafb and using only offb was suggested, done, but didn't change a lot of things - Commenting { "PROM", load_vbios_prom }," in nv_bios.c fixed the first issue. - I was then back to the same state I was at a few weeks ago : the screen is full of weird vertical multicolored lines. - Taking a screenshot with ImageMagick's 'import' shows a perfectly good image - Trying to go back to the console (killing X) would show a black screen - Adding "return;" at the start of the run_tmds_table function in nv_bios.c mostly fixes the issu : the screen i...

[Bridge] Unexpected bridge behavior (Bug? You decide.)
While using the linux bridge module in 2.6.10, the kernel seems to munge the source IP address of broadcast UDP packets if they come from "0.0.0.1", and sticks on an address of the linux host. I humbly submit that re-writing the source address of packets is not proper behavior for a bridge, even if those source addresses are not traditionally valid. Sure, 0.0.0.1 isn't a valid

Recursive partitioning algorithms in R vs. alia
Dear R-helpers, I had a conversation with a guy working in a "business intelligence" department at a major Spanish bank. They rely on recursive partitioning methods to rank customers according to certain criteria. They use both SAS EM and Salford Systems' CART. I have used package R part in the past, but I could not provide any kind of feature comparison or the like as I have no
