...directory I use %m for the logfile name too, where it is mapped to the machine name (not the IP). Any idea what could went wrong and how else I can get the needed setup? Hi, I created a volume and have to restrict access now. Just one client should be allowed to acces the volume. As long as I use samba <=3.0.22 it works fine (DOM1\user1 is automatically mapped to DOM2\user2) , but later versions won't (DOM1\user1 is shown as DOM1\user1 on PDC2). How can I do this? Hi Marc, No, no schema adjustments. This is the only domain controller, there have been no changes to this domain since I rebuilt it about a month ago. Samba keeps failing like this almost every month.
