Re: Black screen -- MTG: Duels of the Planeswalkers
Hi, I have a black screen in Ubuntu 11.10 with Wine 1.3.28. The game is MTG: Duel of the Planeswalkers 2012. I'm really newbie in Linux. Maybe someone can give me a hand with the problem, thanks in advance.

Black screen -- MTG: Duels of the Planeswalkers
...hrough winetricks -- it still makes no difference. These games launch, play some in-game sounds and show me an in-game cursor, though everything else is pitch black. Unfortunately, I cannot play the card game only by listening. I would be very grateful if someone explained me how to run a playable MTG game on Mac OS X. Perhaps I've done something wrong? A step-by-step guide could be nice.

[LLVMdev] LLVM Dev Mtg
I saw Tanya's note about this year's LLVM developers' meeting. It would be interesting if the time could coincide with IDF 2009 (Sep. 22-24). I'm sure some LLVM folks would be interested in attending IDF as well. Perhaps hold the LLVM conference the day before or after IDF? -Dave

2016 LLVM Dev Mtg: Moderators needed!
All, I'm needing volunteers to help moderate the sessions of the LLVM Developers' Meeting. All you need to do is introduce the speaker, make sure the speaker stays on time, and run Q&A at the end (run a microphone, select people, etc). Its a pretty easy job, but critical for our meeting to run smoothly. Lightning talks are slightly different in that you will moderate each 5 minute

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] RFC: 2008 LLVM Conference
...start the process. Yes, of course we should do one. Some things to think about and discuss: 1. We need to pick a timeframe for it to occur, and a location. 2. What format should the meeting be? Should we preserve the 'series of talks with discussion time' format? 3. This dev mtg will probably be larger than the last, both because llvm community has grown and also because the clang community has pulled in a number of new people. It might be useful to have two talks going in parallel or have it across two days. 4. I think it would be great if we were able to help p...

BoF: Shipping Software as LLVM IR (@Upcoming Dev Mtg)
Hi LLVM’ers! We are hosting a BoF at this year's Dev Meeting on a subject we hope will be of interest to some (many?) of you: shipping software (entirely) as LLVM IR. You can find our proposal in the meeting schedule online: https://llvmdevelopersmeetingbay2016.sched.org/event/8Yzq/shipping-software-as-llvm-ir The BoF is scheduled to last 45 minutes, which will go by very quickly! BoF: Shipping Software as LLVM IR (@Upcoming Dev Mtg)
Hi I am late to the party. Here is my personal take of the topic: * Do you ship software as IR today? What lessons have you learned? Yes. We accept AppStore submission in bitcode (LLVM IR). The core function in clang is upstreamed and you can look up the related code path triggered by -fembed-bitcode option. * Challenges of shipping software as IR Compatibility: We are trying to enhance the

BoF: Shipping Software as LLVM IR (@Upcoming Dev Mtg)
Hi Vikram, It is a bit more that just “efficient (de)serialization” as there is some amount of tradeoff to make between “size” vs “speed” vs “flexibility” (which are all some sort of “efficient”). For instance what if we get a faster deserialization but got larger size? That might be an issue for some people who’d like to ship bitcode. Another thing is that we may get better speed/size by

[LLVMdev] LLVM+GCC collaboration BoF
Folks, Is there any interest in having a BoF session on the GCC+LLVM collaboration? I'd like to discuss some of the outcomes from the GNU Cauldron session and see what we could do to make that relationship healthier. So far, all the cross discussions I've seen on the GNU list (about LLVM) have been very healthy and the GNU folks seem very receptive to discussion (not so much for

Showing hotness in LLVM optimization remarks using AutoFDO sampling profile data?
Hello! (+cc Adam Nemet, since he presented on optimization remarks at LLVM Dev Mtg 2016) I have a large C++ program, which I am compiling using a sampling profile generated via perf and AutoFDO. I'd like to use this profile in order to show the hotness of each code path that is displayed in the new optimization remarks viewer tool ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qq0q1hfzid...

MIGRATE SHARES always fails
Hi, I have an Ubuntu 8.04 box running as Samba PDC (version 3.0.28a) with an LDAP backend, and I tried to migrate a share from a Win2003 server to the Samba box. However, running the "migrate shares" or the "migrate files" commands always results in errors: $ net rpc share MIGRATE SHARES data_share -S w2k3box -U <admin> --destination=localhost migrating:

Hi Mehdi, Yes, we did see your earlier post. Efficient (de)serialization is definitely important for both exporting (a la LTO and ThinLTO) and for shipping code as IR. I expect most use cases of the latter would benefit. -—Vikram // Vikram S. should we have IR intrinsics for integer min/max?
Hi - The answer to this question may help to resolve larger questions about intrinsics and vectorization that were discussed at the dev mtg last week, but let's start with the basics: Which, if any, of these is the canonical IR? ; ret = x < y ? 0 : x-y define i32 @max1(i32 %x, i32 %y) { %sub = sub nsw i32 %x, %y %cmp = icmp slt i32 %x, %y ; cmp is independent of sub %sel = select i1 %cmp, i32 0, i32 %sub ret i32 %sel }...
