Regression test starting point
I am wanting to perform a regression test on an application but am not certain of the starting point I want to test. Test results for 0.9.53 indicated simply that it worked OK, without details of all aspects of the application, some of which are being reported as broken now. So, I want to confirm that it really did work OK then, as when I test with 0.9.60 through to 1.0rc3 it fails on some

App needing video for Windows can't play videos
Dear friends,
I have a Windows 3.1 program that uses Video for Windows to play some videos (about an english course). The cd comes with Video for Windows 1.1, but when I try to install it I get the following message in the shell:
"wine: Call from 0x7b844b20 to unimplemented function msvideo.dll.DRAWDIBPROFILEDISPLAY, aborting"
And then the installation Window freezes, and I have to abort. Could someone help me with this issue? I really have no idea of what I should do to get my program working properly. :(
I uploaded the version 1.1 of Video for Windows in the link:

Video Codecs, Video Editing and Wine
...ew, the last frame shows as a still image. I'm pretty
sure I'm up against a codec situation.
I learned tonight that windows does not come with MPEG2 codecs and that
Edit Studio uses windows and DirectX codecs--I don't know which ones
yet. The "Developers-Hints" describes msvideo.dll and msrle32.dll as
"video codecs" and the "Wine Developer's Guide" describes msvfw32.dll as
a "32-bit windows video system." With the knowlege that I gained about
MPEG2 codecs, is it a good assumption to say that the dll's I just
mentioned are MPEG1 co...
