Warning in 'probtrans'-function ('mstate'-package)
Dear all, in order to estimate transition-specific probabilities in a multi-state model i applied the 'probtrans()' function from the 'mstate'-package. Now, i am at loss with the following message (see attached example): Warning message: In probtrans(msf.0, predt = 0) : Negative diagonal elements of (I+dA); the estimate may not be meaningful. I am not very familiar with matrix algebra nor did i find anything about this issue in ac...

why the survival function estimate using package 'mstate' & package 'cmprsk' vary from sas and LTA (From WHO).
hello,everyone: I am now confused in multistate survival , when I want to poccess a multistate survival analysis, I turn to R and the package 'mstate' and packege 'cmprsk'. When I come to publishing the article. Follow requirement of the magzine, the statistic is carry out in LTA package (which was said to be a authority in intauterine from WHO) . There we found difference in the results(incidence ratio or survival function) comp...

Too many logs...
Hi to all, I''d like to cut some log in /var/log/messages, as of netbios and ping entries. There are some particular rules in shorewall 1.4.5? I''ve tried with "run_iptables -A common -p udp --sport 138 -mstate --state NEW -j DROP" but it contiunes to send to log every netbios attempt. Also I don''t want to disable ping from loc to net, and from fw to net. Thanks for every advice.

Issue with data() function
...t;lung") ?? data(lung, package="survival") ?a. The lung.Rd file had \usage{data(lung)}; that error was not caught by R CMD check.? (Several other .Rd files as well.) ?b. In broader examples for teaching, I sometimes load data from other packages, e.g data(aidssi, package="mstate").? But this does not work for survival.? (The larger survival data sets that are in separate .rda files can be found.) ?c. What does work is survival::lung.? Might it be useful to add a comment to data.Rd to this effect? 3. Creating a separate package 'survivaldata' is of course...

Just getting noise
I'm completely new to speex and I'm having issues adding it to my application. I can pass raw PCM and that works fine so I know my transmission code is fine however when I try to encode/decode using speex I get noise almost like a whining/buzzing sound. I'm sure it's and issue in my code but I'm not sure where to start looking other then my gut tells me I'm not sizing or

Sorry to barge in on an old thread. I''m having the same trouble as the gent who started this thread. I''ve tried the options described and can''t seem to get the tunnel to pass packets through it. I''m using the Netscreen Remote VPN client (Safenet derivative) on a windows machine, trying to connect to a Netscreen 5xp at the other end. The connection fires
