I'm creating a package for my own use that uses some S4 classes but no methods. I have a file called NAMESPACE it contains the line: exportClasses("foo") and at the top of the R file I have setClass("foo", representation(x="numeric") and the line: .onLoad<-function(libname,pkgname) When I run R CMD check I get Syntax error in the only R file. Mail restore and single storage attachement
...ource ? I'm missing something ? 2) I don't find any way to specify a source for attachements with the import command, then I first restore all the atachements from one snapshot, then make import, then purge. Is there a way to use a source for attachement file tree, or a command to find the mssing files for the import command ? Problems with CVS / 2.1.0 prealpha on Redhat 6.1 - still no joy with CVS
...again - yipee! But the 'make all' fails with the warnings pated below. I have tried the other CVS snapshots from http://sernet.pair.com/ and they are in a similar broken state (although broken in different ways). Forgive my lack of C knowledge but these errors appear to be C issues (not mssing libaries etc...)- if it were perl I would be ok! Any clues / pointers greatfully recieved. Greg Cope ps if anyone has a snapshot of CVS with working NT 4.0 client PDC code that is know to complie on Redhat 6.1 / or can point me in the right direction to enable NT client domain logon / profiles t...

Replacing missing values
I'm discovering R (very impressive), and didn't find in the docs a simple method for replacing, in a data frame, missing values (NA) with the column's mean (or any other method for reconstructing missing values when needed). Dear List: I had some strange experience in importing data. I wonder if anyone of you had the same problem before and would greatly appreciate your suggestion in advance. The original data set in excel format. Here is a brief summary of the procedure I did: 1. I saved the original excel data as csv and txt formats, separately. 2. I imported two data using the following codes. There were no

align() function missing in R ?
Dear list members, I switched from Splus to R a few years ago and so far found no functionality missing. However, I am struggling to find the equivalent align() function for time series. I did find some reduced functionality such as alignDailySeries in package:fCalendar but the full capability of aligning two timeseries seems to be missing. Could this be true ? I am sure there must be a need

Successive Graphs
Hello! I have written an R script on a Windows platform where I calculate eight result matrices I plot using matplot. I would like to display the resulting plots successively, rather than simultaneously, and I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to how to do this. The graphs pop up in this manner by default when I run my script in S-PLUS, with tabs separating them so I
