[PATCH 0/1] Delay installation of QEMU-GA
This is a replacement for previously posted patch "Delay firstboot scripts to some later time": https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2019-November/msg00134.html Instead of delaying all the firstboot scripts we just delay the QEMU-GA installation that we know is problematic. I will possibly send a similar patch for RHEV-APT installation later. Tom?? Golembiovsk? (1): windows: delay installation of qemu-ga MSI v2v/convert_windows.ml | 12 ++++-----...

[PATCH nbdkit] New tmpdisk plugin.
Unfinished (needs tests). This is my attempt to make a "remote tmpfs" plugin as outlined in this prior email: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2020-March/msg00134.html Although it would be possible to construct something a bit like this using existing plugins and filters (perhaps with some new features in those filters) I think it may be nicer to have a dedicated plugin for this, as it makes the documentation simpler to understand and allows us to implement...

xen usage monitoring (munin plugin)
Dear list, as my Xen3 server is finaly becomming ready for production I was wondering if anyone has written a xen usage monitoring/logging tool? Something like xm top, but with continuose logging to a (rr)database. Or a munin plugin? I can''t remember seeing anything simmilar on the list. BTW: where does xm top get the NETTX(k) and NETRX(k) from? For a munin plugin I''d

[PATCH nbdkit v3] New tmpdisk plugin.
v2 was here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2020-March/msg00154.html v3: - Micro-optimize tmpdir. - Quote $disk in default command shell fragment. - Don't redirect mkfs output to /dev/null. Instead use exec </dev/null >/dev/null before the shell fragment. We may want to do this in other places where we run external shell scripts, or more generally for all

[PATCH 0/4] qemu: Use sqlite to store qemu detection data.
Patches 1 & 2 were posted previously here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2016-May/msg00134.html Patch 3 is a hack so I can test this using my own version of qemu (the `-L ?' stuff is not upstream). Patch 4 is where the real action takes place: Replace the caching of qemu features in blob-like files with a sqlite database. Probably the best way to approach this patch is to start wi...
