search for: ms_dos

This is my first time using wine, so forgive me if I am asking a question that's already been answered (although I DID search docs and NG's first..) EVERY time I run Wine (wine-only install, no MS_DOS partition), it goes thru the "building font metrics" phase, which takes forever, but i've seen 1 program run successfully, so something must be working.. When I try to run the setup for icq2000b, it goes thru all the fonts twice before actually running, and then I get a message saying...

Hi, all. I know this is ancient history, but I have a couple of DOS machines that host older device programming hardware. I've been able to access an older version of Samba for years without incident. Last weekend I upgraded my server to Ubuntu 18.04, which provides Samba 4.7.6. Unfortunately, after hours of frustration I find I'm unable to connect from any of the older machines.
