DarkIce 0.6 and Lame 3.89: underlying sink error
...rkIce yields the following
output:
DarkIce 0.5 live audio streamer, http://darkice.sourceforge.net
Copyright (c) 2000-2001, Tyrell Hungary, http://tyrell.hu
Using config file: darkice.cfg
Using POSIX real-time scheduling, priority 98
LAME version 3.89 (beta 1, Oct 2 2001) (http://www.mp3dev.org/)
Using polyphase lowpass filter, transition band: 8002 Hz - 8535 Hz
DarkIce: LameLibEncoder.cpp:194: lame lib opening underlying sink error [0]
This also happens with DarkIce 0.5. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Lame, Bitrates, ReEncoding I
...;s Very Unclear where to begin here. This is noted in the
ices-0.2.3 INSTALL file:
I installed lame as a debian package so lame.h is in
/usr/include/lame/lame.h
and libmp3lame.a is in /usr/lib. configure finds everything automatically.
<p>I assume we go here -> http://www.mp3dev.org/mp3/ compile, install then go
back to
ices with:
--with-lame[=DIR] enable support for reencoding with lame [in
DIR]

there an "oh yeah, that too" I need to know about beforehand?

binary downloads (www.vorbis.com down?)
Hi,
it seems that vorbis.com is down (DNS lookups fail). Are there any other
up-to-date sites that offer binary downloads and do not refer to
vorbis.com?
