So, I'm seeing XMMS behave mighty strangely here. decode_example piped into a command line player manages to playback realtime on my p233 somewhat easily. XMMS (with the Vorbis plugin) utterly pegs the CPU and stutters badly. So, I started playing. Playing back mp3, xmms stutters badly (mp123 and xaudio play back realtime without difficulty). Playing back straight wav files, xmms also nearly pegs the CPU and skips alot (although it's not a continuous stutter). When playback is *paused*, xmms is taking up 80-100% of CPU. Hi all, If I use a SIP softphone and set to gsm codec clearly I get a 8K sample... if I change that to something like opus I get a much better sounding input... How do I get a "better" than 8K sampled input ? I "desire" to have that input be from a pipe. hi All, I am using 11.25.2 and musing on hold. CentOS 7.4 I am trying to setup a MusicOnHold() streaming audio. I have one machine I tried this on and it worked. This machine is on the internet. I have another machine behind a firewall that does not play. Both machines installed mpg123. I have a windows machine behind the firewall that plays the audio stream so firewall is not the issue. I
