My dovecot does not store Thunderbird flags
...elnet, I get: . examine INBOX * FLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Deleted \Seen \Draft NonJunk $MDNSent Junk $Forwarded NotJunk receipt-handled $Label7 $label1 $label2 $label3 $label4 $label5 expired_2w expired_2m delete rimandata forwarded) * OK [PERMANENTFLAGS ()] Read-only mailbox. As per Thunderbird mozillazine page about tags (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Tags#IMAP) that's what the issue is. PERMANENTFLAGS should allow /* while in my server it's empty. Could someone point me how can I change this behaviour or some hints ? Thank you -- Julien Buratto PS: In case someone asks for it > dovecot -n...

Problem with parameter from Tux to win
Hi, I use K-Meleon under wine as browser, and Thunderbird (linux version) as mail client. When I click on a link in Thunderbird, K-Meleon is opened, but the parameter isn't sent, instead of it I have just '%u', the parameter I have put on the line in default programs to say to pass the real parameter. K-Meleon receive %u and modify the address to http://www.%u.com/ Is it a

Another perspective on this sort of issue, if you haven't seen it: http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/roc/archives/2007/10/tablua_fracta.html. Part of what makes LLVM interesting is that there's the potential to put together a new language on top of LLVM relatively easily, and get powerful optimizers and cross-platform compatibility without having to write any middle-end and back-end code....

checking all folders for new mail (IMAP STATUS command)
Hello, I use Thunderbird as IMAP client and do a lot of server-side filtering with Sieve scripts. To be notified of new mails, I want to check all folders (a lot of them...) at once for new mails, and not only the inbox. According to http://kb.mozillazine.org/Checking_for_new_messages_in_other_folders_-_Thunderbird it should be sufficient to enable one setting -- given that the IMAP server returns the STATUS command correctly. I still run Dovecot 1.0 (from Debian 4.0), and it seems this version doesn't support the IMAP STATUS command, as I have...

FF3 printing problem on Centos 4.x
...day I installed the new FF3 release. It works fine too, with one exception: The print dialog shows no printers! The print button is greyed out! There actually four or five printers defined on the system, and all other apps find them fine, including FF2. So far no one has replied to my query on the mozillazine forums. Anyone here got any suggestions I can try? Thanks! -- ---- Fred Smith -- fredex at fcshome.stoneham.ma.us ------------------------ ---- Do you not know? Have you not heard? Also my mail client (Thunderbird) doesn't check the filter folders automatically is there an option in dovecot that lets you send notification to clients when new messages arrive in certain folders. more info: http://kb.mozillazine.org/How_do_I_check_for_new_messages_in_other_folders -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Firefox problems
...necting to web sites that are reached without difficulty using MS-IE 6. The symptom is a message box that declares that the "The Document Contains No Data" which, ironically enough, is the very error I get when trying to reach http://www.google.ca/url?sa=U&start=1&q=http://kb.mozillazine.org/Do cument_contains_no_data&e=10167 using Firefox. I ended up getting it in MS-IE. Is it just me or did the last release of Firefox significantly degrade its reliability. When I close Firefox with multiple tabs I now nearly always get an error that attempts to mail itself off to Mozil...

What's up with Firefox/Thundrebird
Hey All, Has anyone had trouble with Firefox/Thunderbird? When I log on if I start Thunderbird first then I can't start Firefox. Clicking on a link in an email fails to start Firefox. If I start Firefox before Thunderbird then hyperlinks in emails open a page in the existing Firefox instance. Other users on this same machine are having the same problems. This has been happening for that

BUG - DELETE Public/Folder not working with Thunderbird
Hi Anton, Thank you very much for your helpful hint. Thunderbird clearly wants to move Public/Test to the Trash of the user who subscribed the Public folder. Question is how to solve this from a Dovecot point of a view, so a user can also delete folders? 2020200448[10053c700]: proposed url = Public/Test folder for connection INBOX has To Wait = FALSE can run = FALSE 2020200448[10053c700]:

Thunderbird sync time? (reverse quota warning)
For reverse quota warning, it looks like webmail works nice. quota_warning3 = -storage=100%% quota-warning below %u # user is no longer over quota But using thunderbird I deleted enough messages to go below quota and I deleted them from trash folder too. But mail log does not show thunderbird connecting to imap to actually delete mails and get the trigger below quota warning msg. It's i

Thunderbird, server side filtering (sieve) and new email not in "inbox"
Migrating my extensive thunderbird filtering rules to sieve has the unfortunate effect that thunderbird doesn't realize that there is new email in other mailboxes beside "inbox". According to ancient documentation, <http://kb.mozillazine.org/How_do_I_check_for_new_messages_in_other_folders#IMAP>, I could configure Thunderbird to check each mailbox periodically, but I have >500 mailboxes and I rather prefer the server to notify the client when new email is avaliable somewhere. Reading between lines in that document, looks lik...
