mouse problems [A4 Tech OP-3D]
After some poking into psm.c code I've got some results.
First, for the archives, debug.psm.loglevel tunable is much more useful
than a verbose boot for debugging PS/2 mouse issues. A good value is 2.
Second, I fiddled with various probe methods to force them to
"recognize" my mouse (by loosening their checks) and found out that the
mouse works perfectly if it is treated as

hints on KVM switches w/ X
Has anyone got hints on using KVM switches with XFree86? I'm using a wheel
mouse and moused, but something gets out of whack when I switch away then back
to X. Next time I touch the mouse, all sorts of weird things happen for a
fraction of a second, then the mouse starts working OK. This is annoying and
dangerous because it often winds up pasting random stuff into xterms.....

mouse position without event
Hello,
Is it possible somehow to get mouse coordinates without using the event
mechanism ?
I need to get the current mouse position to initialize some div position,
but not at page load

All Wine dialog boxes have the mouse symbol out of position
I've just installed Wine.
Every Wine dialog box/window, on mouseOver, jumps the mouse cursor left and up, but sends mouse clicks to where the mouse would/should be.
In other words, when I roll the mouse over any Wine box, the arrow symbol immediately moves left and up, then subsequently moves in relation to how I move the mouse, until the original mouse location exits the dialog box, when the

A USB mouse, a scroll wheel, moused and moused_flags
In previous cases where I set up X to use a wheel mouse I told it to use
moused and then had XFree do the wheel translation with the ZAxisMapping
option. After looking at the FAQ again I decided to try doing the
translation with moused on my new 5.1-R desktop box. So I did a ps ax |
grep moused and got what I expected...
/usr/sbin/moused -p /dev/ums0 -I /var/run/moused.ums0.pid
so as root I

I hope that you are well. I have installed CentOS 4.1 and I have an MS mouse.
The mouse pointer can be moved around BUT I cannot click on anything menus and
such, even during the install the mouse isn't operational for clickage. Any
thoughts. Any help would be most welcome. I am using an Avocent SwitchView MP,
but its made no difference in installing Core 3 or any other OS.

Restarting mouse services
I move my notebook around my office. Sometimes I am using the internal
pointers, sometimes a USB mouse, and sometimes a USB keyboard/mouse
adapter that is plugged into a kvm (actually two of them).
With one of these USB k/m adapters, when I plug in, the system fails to
recognize the mouse (but no problem with the keyboard). The 2 adapters
are the same brand/model (Aten), but the KVMs are

Mouse cursor problems in Windows DomU after installing ATI-driver fglrx to X11
Hallo,
I run Xen 3.0.4.1 on Ubuntu 6.06 with Gnome desktop. I can start
Windows as DomU without problems, everything works fine (w2k server32 bit or
w2k3 server 64 bit).
Because I use the notebook HP nx9420 which has a wide screen, I
installed into X11 the driver fglrx which supports the given resolution mode
1680x1050.
Now, with the new driver The Gnome

[1.3.20]-Capture The Mouse Works Great. Suggestions...
Hi,
I've been crying for a long time about mouse issues
while running a full screen game in an emulated desktop window,
but with newest Wine these issues are gone.
Would it be possible to have some hot key
that the user can press to uncapture the mouse?
For example, VirtualBox toggles mouse capture
by pressing the right [Ctrl] key on

1.3.15, mouse screwy now on OSX.
not sure if its just me or anyone else noticed this... but mouse control in games is basically impossible now in 1.3.15. like holding down the right mouse button and moving the mouse to move a character direction just barely moves or jumps, or just stops moving, or then spins around... its horrid. 1.3.14 and earlier are still working fine without that problem.
Is anyone else seeing this? is it

Mouse and display issues with Windows 10 guest
Anyone managed to get a Windows 10 guest running well under qemu/kvm?
I can get it up and running, but there is a major issue with losing
use of the mouse, plus my display resolution is stuck at 1024x768.
The mouse will work for a short time (a few seconds to a few minutes),
but then stops responding. That's with the mouse coming in as the
recommended QEMU tablet device. I can assign a USB

Mouse warping, toggle option
One of the nagging issues that has been around for awhile with wine is "mouse warping"
In some cases it doesn't place nice with the house environment, in other cases it doesn't play nice with the game, and overall it's a bit of an annoyance.
Would it be possible to introduce an option to wine that would allow one to select whether warping is used (maybe a checkbox for
