How to separate a function by 2 probabilities
Good Mourning,
I have a function to generate a matrix as I show part of it;
g[j,i]<-if (gen[j,i]==0) al1[i,1]+al1[i,1] else ...
However i would like that this function occurred with a probability P and
that another function (another formula to generate g matrix) with
probability P-1
That?s it, if P is .7,...

Markdown-Discuss Digest, Vol 103, Issue 8
You could, like the rest of us, simply skim past a post not interesting to you. Oh, but then you wouldn't get to show off how clever you are with your use of "crAppStore"!

syntax for playlist
I should be more specific . What I meant to ask was - is it necessary for the directory that icecast streams or serves files from to "everyone" or the "world" have at least read permissions. I do plan to experiment with the permisions but I was just asking to see if any one had already tried this. I like to lock down my system as much as possible.
Thanks for the help!

Bug#668550: libxs-dev conflicting with libxen-dev
Hi,
Since Xen has been around for a long long time, and that libxs is pretty
new in Debian (only few days), I'd say that libxs-dev should be fixed.
Do you agree?
Cheers,
Thomas

Bug#686764: xen: Multiple security issues
Package: xen
Dear maintainer,
Recently you fixed one or more security problems and as a result you closed
this bug. These problems were not serious enough for a Debian Security
Advisory, so they are now on my radar for fixing in the following suites
through point releases:
squeeze (6.0.7) - use target "stable"
Please prepare a minimal-changes upload targetting each of these suites,

Question for Dev's on NUT's upsstats.cgi
Hey guys,
New user to NUT and was playing with the upsstats.cgi.
On my website, I have everything going through a wrapper script that frames the pages.
So my web files are actually truncated since the wrapper installs all my headers for me.
When using the upsstats.cgi, it works fine embedding it into my pages and then editing the .html template EXCEPT, I can't get rid of:

ENOSPC - where's the problem, where's the solution?
Hallo, linux-btrfs,
I''ve just finished testing my btrfs installation.
Kernel 2.6.37, btrfs-progs from 2010-10-06
Again the same problem as mourned last year: the smaller of the 2 disks
sets the capacity.
Where is the problem: is it a kernel problem (and I have to wait for the
next kernel revision), or is it a problem related to one of the programs
which I can compile in the

Mon morn
And, no mourn. Took three-quarters of an hour, which someone
inconvenienced Beecher, but the server I came in so early to reboot did
it's thing (think DOS or Windows chkdisk, except with a *lot* more disk),
and I got the memory that Dell shipped me last Thurs into the other
server, and everything's up swimmingly.
Oh, and I'd gotten a email the other day - for some reason, they thought

xl support
Hi folks
The current package in unstable is able to use xl. It is still a bit
edgy but seems to work. Because the old xm with xend and xl clashs and
one should only use one, this needs some more setup to provide a proper
upgrade path.
I propose the following:
- Add a script "xen" that wraps xl and xm depending on the config for
use by all the scripts. Most parts are command line

Changes for 3.2
Hi folks
Some proposed changes:
* Fixiate the API/ABI of some libs, for the stable version, including
- libxenctrl,
- libxenstat,
- libxenstore.
As upstream don't know what abinames are for, roll own abinames.
* Add libxenctrlX, libxenstatX, libxenstoreX, if abinames may be
different or libxenX if the abinames should the same for all libs.
* Add libxen-dev including

let's see what the app store says
"multimarkdown composer" has been out for 4 weeks now,
so let's mosey on over to the app store to see what it says...
"composer" is #184 in productivity apps, a bit disappointing,
considering that it was in the top-20 when it first came out...
it's gained only 5 reviews over the 18 it had right off the bat.
perhaps even more surprising, to some, is that

find the right (wine) path
wine version 20001002 running in rh7. installed and working.
Have a newbie question about command line paths to access windows apps.
No problem accessing anything in c:\windows eg freecell.exe by the simple
command # wine freecell.exe
the mount directory is named /dos (and is in /etc/wine/wine.conf under
Drive c) so I assume that the command
# wine /dos/agent/agent.exe should bring up the

snom 200 and hold
Hi,
I've looked through the archives and seen references to placing calls on
hold on a snom 200 (any version of the firmware but we have the latest:
2.05e.)
Basically, we can't place calls on hold on the snom 200! The manual
talks about the Flash button (which is really the "R" button, as far as I
can tell.) Pressing the R button will immediately disconnect the incoming
call.

This is a sad day for interoperability in the Web
Today, Adobe Systems Incorporated announced[1] that they will extend
their Flash platform to support the proprietary H.264 and HE-AAC
formats.
The Xiph.Org Foundation has previously contacted Adobe to consider
extending Flash to support the Open Media formats Vorbis, Theora, and
Speex. Adobe developers replied by stating it would be unwise as it
would increase the file size of the Flash Player,
