Asterisk not honoring astetcdir
Running 11.10.2 on NetBSD 6.1.4 but I observed this on 11.11.0 as
well. I have a directory which, through a combination of NULL mount
and UNION mount contains everything in the installed config
directory /usr/pkg/etc/asterisk except for my modified versions of
those files. Basically I mount_null /usr/pkg/etc/asterisk
on /usr/local/etc/asterisk and then mount_union my SVN directory with
my modified versions over that.
I then call asterisk with "-C /usr/local/etc/asterisk.conf" which

jails, ipfilter & stunnel
I'm setting up a server where I plan to use Jails to improve security
I also have installed and am configuring ipfilter. Here are my
questions:
Because I'm using Jails, I will have to have multiple ip aliases on the
network interface. I will use ipfilter to specify what can go to each
of the addresses. (e.g., allow only incoming to port 80 on the jail
running apache).

Patching jails
I'm going to apply the ssh patch. Applying it to the "real" server seems straightforward enough, but I'm wondering what the right procedure is to apply this patch to my jailed servers.

[Bug 2048] New: Make chrooted sftp more user friendly using bind mount (solution suggested)
...bind-mounts by some cron-script, but it's
not nearly as elegant as when done directly on-demand by OpenSSH.
Other thoughts?
- Read-only bind mounts! (don't forget to check if RO option
successfully aplied)
- I am not sure if bind mounts are available on BSDs (never been using
BSD), maybe mount_null or some kind of symlinks can be used???
