Acroread9 crash in CentOS7
Hello,
I'm getting a crash with acroread on my CentOS7 (AdobeReader_enu-9.5.5-1.i486).
I install the official rpms from ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/unix/,
tried 9.5.5, and former v9, v8, v7.
/usr/bin/acroread loads well, but when you click a menu, bang. Same if
you start acroread w/ a .pdf filename in parameter, the window opens up
then crashes.
I modified the acroread script to

gdevilspie on mate
I just read about gdevilspie on this list the other day and downloaded it for my mate desktop. Although it installed, it complains that python-wnck is not installed.
Does anyone know if it is supposed to work on mate? I would have expected it to install python-wnck as a requirement if not already installed?

kmod-nvidia-430.40-1.el7_6.elrepo.x86_64 fails to install
Everyone,
On August 2, my desktop unit updated with kmod-nvidia-430.40-1.el7_6.elrepo.x86_64nnn
which broke yum having a multiple of dependencies not being present. I uninstall kmod-
dvidia with the hopes that a fresh install would fix the provlem, but it did not.
nvidia-detect returns :
kmod-nvidia
An Intel display controller was also detected
I was hoping that this was a repository problem

Corrupt mbox folders after migration from uw-imap
After migrating our mail server from uw-imap to dovecot at the
weekend we've had a few corrupted mbox folders. I assume this is
due to messages with bad Content-length headers. Is there any way of
checking the Content-length of messages in mbox folders?
Thanks

need unix to windows solution
Hello, I am looking for a solution that will allow me to create a mount
point on solaris to a directory(ies) on a Windows 2000 SP3 server. Can
someone tell me how to do this using Samba?
This is an urgent need.
Thanks for your help.

Using multiple temporary indexes during updates
...te-up!
It'd be helpful to note the Xapian version you're using for such
benchmarking as the results are likely to evolve over time.
Also are you using Xapian::DBCOMPACT_MULTIPASS? The linked page doesn't
seem to say.
In theory it should be faster when merging many databases, but Tom
Mortimer reported he found it slower. That was a long time ago, but
I've never managed to get around to profiling to see what was going
on or if it was even still the case (probably makes most sense to do at
the same time as implementing https://trac.xapian.org/ticket/444 ).
Incidentally, for the &quo...

How to avoid "firstboot" in CentOS 7 kickstart
Dear Experts,
Sorry about taking shortcut and asking everybody...
My question is: how do you avoid "firstboot" screen in latest CentOS 7.3
kickstart.
I have installed about a dozen of CentOS 7 (none of which was 7.3) with
that kickstart file. None of them ever went to firstboot screen on first
boot. Now after kickstart installation of CentOS 7.3 it goes into
firstboot screen showing
