Speex on iPAQ?
Hi If there is anyone who have tried to use the Speex codec on the iPAQ I would be VERY happy to get in contact with that person. I'm trying to use the eMbedded Visual C++ 3.0 to get the Speex to work on my iPAQ but can't get it to work. Once again would be very happy if there is anyone who have an example code for the iPAQ or have tried to use Speex . Regards, Daniel Holmqvist

AEC learning behaviour
Hi, I already implemented and posted a patch to do this serialization a few weeks ago. http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.audio.compression.speex.devel/6913 It is not integrated into the main git tree though. Speex latency
Hi, What kind of latency is expected using 8,16,32 khz? I am trying to do a realtime stream server, and I am having latency above >500ms ( I capture the sound using the mic, encode it and send it to the client). I am using ALSA system, a SB128 PCI and a 800Mhz P3 . What can I do to lower the latency? I tried a test : arecord -t raw | speexenc - - | speexdec - and I found that I also have a 500

RTP Profile Revision
...ou have any more comments, let us know. In addition, we will be applying for an official MIME type. Note that the AVP code and the MIME type in this latest revision have been changed from "SPX" to "speex" based on comments from the community. This change was approved by Simon Morlat (linphone maintainer, still the heaviest deployment of Speex) and of course Jean-Marc Valin. The three of us are moving this forward towards RFC status. You can always find the latest profile (and archived ones too) at: http://www.herlein.com/downloads/speex/docs/ I assume the SPeex sit...

[patch] speex AEC state save & restore
Hi, I implemented a small patch that allows the internal convergence state of the echo canceller to be saved in a file for later use, especially after a process restart or machine reboot. This enables immediate echo cancellation the second time the AEC is run. Of course this works only if the acoustic environment of the device doesn't change and if the soundcard latency is constant. To use

First draft for Speex RTP profile - Please send your comments
Hi, We'd like to announce the first draft for the Speex RTP profile. It was written essentially by Greg Herlein, with some help from Simon Morlat and I. We'd like to get some feedback on it before it is sent to the IETF. Basically this will allow all SIP based VoIP applications using Speex to inter-operate. For those interested, there's already Simon's LinPhone (www.linphone.org) VoIP phone that supports Speex (not yet compliant...
