4.9-20030914-PRERELEASE hangs during boot
I just noticed the 4.9-20030914-PRERELEASE and made a set of installation boot floppies from it to see which of the devices in my new PC the PRERELEASE would support. It wedged hard during the boot autoconfiguration monologue, just after typing these lines on the console: atapci0: <Intel ICH5 ATA100 controller> port 0xf000-0xf00f,0-0x3,0-0x7,0-0x3,0-0x7 irq 0 at device 31.1 on pci0 ata0: at 0x1f0 irq 14 on atapci0 ata1: at 0x170 irq 15 on atapci0 atapci1: <Generic PCI ATA controller> port 0xd000-0xd00f,0xcc...

FreeBSD 4.9 RC1 (more bad news)
...nloaded .../i386/ISO-IMAGES/4.9-RC1-i386-disc1.iso and made kern/mfsroot floppies from it. If I enable my ICH5R SATA controller in "native" mode, the 4.9-RC1 GENERIC kernel hangs solidly (only the system reset button can unwedge it) during device configuration. The last line of bootstrap monologue written by the kernel is: plip0" <PLIP network interface> on ppbus0 If I do a "boot -v", the kernel continues with: bpf: lp0 attached ed0: not probed (disabled) fe0: not probed (disabled) ie0: not probed (disabled) lnc0: not probed (disabled) cs0: not probed (disabled...

externip nat audio sip trunk issue problem
Hi all, I've tried search this problem on the list... no luck... The case is: without externip/localnet config on sip.conf [general] my SIP trunk works, but with no audio NAT problem (asterisk sends the private 192 address to the outside...) when I configure externip/localnet correctly my SIP trunk simply disappear! Checking the signalling with tcpdump shows me that Im sending the

FreeBSD STABLE support for new motherboards
...first two parallel ATA ports would be supported in a "legacy" (generic ISA) mode, but support for the other devices looked rather uncertain. I just got my new motherboard and enough other hardware together to boot FreeBSD installation media and see what the bootstrap device configuration monologue said (but not enough other supporting hardware to actually install and run FreeBSD). When my motherboard boots, the bios says: PCI Devices Listing ... Bus Dev Fun Vendor Device SVID SSID Class Device Class IRQ --- --- --- ------ ------ ---- ---- ----- -------------------...

Cannot save/migrate domains
Hi, I had a problem trying to migrate domains, in trying to locate it I noticed that saving domains doesn''t work either, which I believe explains why the receiving xfrd doesn''t actually receive anything. So here it goes... xenone:/tmp# xm list Name Id Mem(MB) CPU State Time(s) Console Domain-0 0 123 0 r---- 900.6 sky 9

Philosophical questions
Disclaimer: The following are observations by a relatively new user (couple of weeks) of RSpec and not intended as RSpec trollbait. Also, forgive me if similar topics have been discussed elsewhere on the mailing list. I at least did the due diligence of a quick search. That said... I''ve been positively thrilled with RSpec for use outside of Rails. It has been in my attempts

RE: CentOS Digest, Vol 6, Issue 3
...ratio of the list. It happened now 3 or 4 times that we got an overly long off-topic discussion (flamewar even) which most of the subscribers are really not interested in. (I hope I can speak for most here anyway) Keep it CentOS related please, as soon as you have a non-CentOS related argument or monologue, keep it off-list. PS This is a general statement, not targetting Bryan specifically here.
