issues with geo-replication
Hi all. I'm looking to see if anyone can tell me this is already working for them or if they wouldn't mind performing a quick test. I'm trying to set up a geo-replication instance on 3.2.5 from a local volume to a remote directory. This is the command I am using: gluster volume geo-replication myvol ssh://root at remoteip:/data/path start I am able to perform a geo-replication

monitor using incorrect path
Hello, I have been noticing the following behaviour with the monitor command.. Normally it records to the default location and then uses soxmix to create the correct wav file. But for some reason sometimes it doesn't use /var/spool/asterisk/monitor/.. but //var/spool/asterisk/monitor/.. (notice the 2 // in front!) Here is some logging: monitor executing ( nice -n 19 soxmix

Is there a way to disable libvirt qemu monitor while creating kvm vm using virsh?
Hi, Now for some reason, I need to add “ -qmp tcp:127.0.0.1:1235” when creating a KVM VM using libvirt. This command meaning in “qemu-kvm --help” is: -qmp dev like -monitor but opens in 'control' mode. I added command-line equivalent options into the xml file, like below format: <qemu:commandline> <qemu:arg value="-s"/> <qemu:arg

VoIP monitoring tools
Hello all, The question isn't directly related to Asterisk, but I'm looking for recommendations for a monitoring tool to monitor the health of Asterisk instances running in Production. Ideally, the tool should be able to generate monitoring traffic (OPTIONS ping or INVITE), use the response/no response from Asterisk to store the health of an Asterisk instance running somewhere in the DB. Thanks, Nitesh Bans...

help with signal from monitor
I have an Alienware laptop that has Nvidia GTX 880M hardware driven by this driver. I recently purchased an ASUS_VN289H monitor. When my system gives a blanking command, the monitor returns some sort of lost signal message which causes the monitor to unblank and the time out I requested is cancelled. This is probably more of an HDMI question than specific to this hardware, but I was wondering

Asterisk Call Monitor and soxmix error
Asterisk Monitor seems to be working fine. Though the problem I am having is the two files (in & out) muxing. I added ,m to the string, yet the call records two files still, and I get the resulting error, at the bottom. monitor executing ( nice -n 19 soxmix /var/spool/asterisk/monitor/rec_fr_1624672199_to_621950_at_01122004-13:4 8:23-in.gsm

Anybody ever done 6 monitors on one server before? :)
My boss wants to put together a Network Operations Center, with a network monitoring server as the centerpiece. He wants that server to have 6 monitors: 4 for network monitoring tools (rrdtool, etc) and two for running commands and the like (ping, traceroute, etc). I know that with the right video card(s) you can have two monitors, but has anybody had 6? Thanks! Ben

smartd and 3ware 9xxx configs
I'm looking to do a bit more monitoring of my 3ware 9550 with smartd, and wanted to see what others were doing with smart for monitoring 3ware hardware. Do you have the smartd.conf configured to test, or simply monitor health status? Are you monitoring the drive as centos sees it (/dev/sdX) or are you using the 3ware /dev/twaX for monit...

Multiple UPS monitoring, relaying
...monitor both of them via USB on a box now called "upsmon". The interesting point comes here. We monitor both UPSes on the upsmon box, but if UPS2 fails, which supports our desktop boxes, NUT shouldn't initiate a shutdown in itself, or take any action on itself. It just should keep on monitoring and relaying the monitor information to the client boxes. So, the question is, how can I tell nut-upsmon, to not to initiate a shutdown according to UPS2, and even, don't take UPS2 into account when checking if a shutdown is needed, but only depend on UPS1? I saw that it has an option where t...

Call recording, monitor & soxmix in Asterisk 1.0.9
Hi, Monitor and soxmix (m option) work fine in CVS Head, not in Asterisk 1.0.9, as the Wiki says. http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Monitor+setup+sample Anyway I am wondering why asterisk 1.0.9 console shows on Hang up: "monitor executing ( nice -n 19 soxmix "//var/spool/asterisk/monitor/45/47-20050812-113631-in.wav"

multiple cards and monitors with xrandr and opengl
Dear Devs, We have achieved a desktop of up to six monitors, with openGL running succesfully on the desktop, with the following setup/features: * Ubuntu 16+ * Xrandr * Noveau driver * Two gtx750 graphic cards Each (identical) graphic card has 2xHDMI + 2xDVI connectors, which we connect to the monitor array. So far it works with six monitors, but we'd like to achieve eight. However,
