libvirt + openvswitch, <parameters interfaceid='x'/> seems less-than-useful?
..."{uuid here}" command run by libvirt doesn't actually set the _uuid of a new interface. :( It's just for an external system (e.g. libvirt) to track an interface *it* creates in OVS. I've got an OVS switch, "malware0" which is my malware lab network. I made a "monitor0" interface, and told OVS to make that a span/mirror of all the traffic on the malware0 switch. I attach monitor0 to my cuckoo VM, and boot the VM. Well, actually libvirt REALLY wants to create the interface itself, so I have to delete the monitor0 interface from OVS. I boot the VM, libvirt...

"nv" driver lock up where new version
I have had my "nv" driver lock up a number of times. I downloaded the "nvidia" drivers and they did not work at 1920x1080 resolution. I am looking for an updated driver for just "nv". I found some once for a different driver that you just update commonXXX and yourdriverXXX not the whole X recompile. Where can I find those drivers? THanks, Jerry --------------

ATI Radeon 4250 in Dual Head Config?
My xorg.conf foo is pretty weak today. Does anyone have an ATI 4250 in a dual head config? I'd be interested in looking over your xorg.conf. Sean p.s. Mine at the moment, that doesn't work very well: http://people.freebsd.org/~sbruno/4250_xorg_conf.txt

Trouble with X and vnc-4.0-8.1.i386 on Centos 4.4
...nd the start it again, it is sometimes blank, sometimes blinking). After CentOS is rebooted all is fine. If I do not change X resolution from the default 1280x1024, vnc work fine all the time. I do not see anything special in var/log/messages. On VT I started X from, I have a message (1600x1200,Monitor0) mode clock 162MHz exceeds DDC maximum 140MHz each time I switch from text console to X (or perhaps the other way), same whether X is working correctly or not. I have never had that kind of problem with old RHL9-based distribution. Has anyone seen such behaviour? I would appreciate any advice....

Wine/WoW not detecting monitor hz
WoW detects my monitor hz as 77, 78, 79. 80, 81, 82 but not 60hz which it should be! This causes a lot of tearing which can be annoying. Is there any way of fixing this?
