uncertainty principle is untenable !!!
...an electron gives it a kick. At the moment the light is diffracted by the electron into the microscope lens, the electron is thrust to the right. To be observed by the microscope, the gamma ray must be scattered into any angle within the cone of angle 2A. In quantum mechanics, the gamma ray carries momentum, as if it were a particle. The total momentum p is related to the wavelength by the formula p = h / L, where h is Planck's constant. How to disable or fix Inertial/Momentum Scrolling?
We have an app (Online Bible) that works under WINE except you have to disable inertial/momentum scrolling on the Mac; otherwise when you scroll in the app's window, scrolling never stops until it reaches the end of all text in the window. Surely others have run into this behavior? Is there a way to disable inertial scrolling within the WINE app window, without having to disable it compl...

Deisable/Enable Momentum Mouse On Mac Wine
What are the magic lines of C code one has to add to Wine to disable the momentum mouse on a mac when the current wine application is activated and restore the settings when the wine application is deactivated?

Why would I choose RoR over Turbogears
...hink it can be very beneficial, but I think it needs to be backed up and that is what I''m trying to figure out. What is RoR going to gain over Turbogears and vice-versa. Right now after going through tutorials in both I''m pretty sure each one is capable, but obviously RoR has momentum - and lots of it. Anyone else in the same spot? Momentum Datalink v3.0 not working at all
...I have tried running it from the command line, but it doesn't give any meaningful feedback. Then again, I'm a noob and is probably doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated as I would not like to search for a Windows machine just for this program. Download link can be found at Momentum Pedometer (http://www.multiply.co.za/pedometer/downloads/index.faces;jsessionid=0000d3dDWS9zMMhbmhP31OpD6ms:12h03vq84?sessionID=d3dDWS9zMMhbmhP31OpD6ms). BTW, I have contacted the helpline for this software, but was told that they do not support anything but Windows.

No luck with "UNIX password sync"
...g within win95. The posts I've seen in the mailing list concerning sync have so far gone unanswered :-( I'm just looking for any information on this feature, has anyone out there had it work? And perhaps just to add myself to the list of users interested in this feature to try and drum up momentum for it. Love the Samba package. I guess I'll work around this till it gets fully implemented. Thanks, -- Ethan Vaughn evaughn@streaminfo.com

Using DDNS as a backend for WINS?
Hi, We've just added a dynamic subdomain on our DNS servers for W2K's Active Directory stuff. While I can't comment on the AD stuff, the DDNS (on BIND 8) seems to work nicely (so far - fingers crossed!) and replicates well between our DNS servers. Has anyone done any work on turning WINS lookups (of all record types) into DNS lookups, and WINS [de]registrations into DNS updates?

Resigning as lead of the Virt SIG
...IG. When I originally was approached by KB to do this, it was always clear that this would be a temporary thing until the SIG got going. At the time, only Xen and CentOS folks were involved with the SIG. Since then, we added oVirt and Docker maintainers, have a total of 5 maintainers and built good momentum. There are two reasons why I feel I should step down as leader of the Virt SIG: a) I have been traveling too much and thus did not have the bandwidth to do this job justice in recent months. b) In addition, it would also make more sense for one of the Virt SIG maintainers who is more closely invol...

vectorizing a double loop
Hello, I have to build a function that takes a time serie and calculate the momentum. For each date of the serie, I have to build a loop to calculate it using the last few data. My problem is that it takes one minute to compute and I need to run this function very often. I would like to vectorize it, as much as possible. Can somebody help me? I have read the http://www.burns-sta...

Please share your Solaris experiences on the Asterisk Solaris Wiki page

We need more momentum for Asterisk on non-Linux platforms. Building a community around Solaris much like there is a community around BSD, would be very helpful. This will only happen if Solaris users start sharing their stuff in a place where others can easily find it. So, please share your experiences with the communi...

Which security to use? Domain or ADS?
Hi, I've got a working scenario of samba in "server" security. I need to replace the server used to authenticate so I'd like to use the momentum and switch the security method to something better (domain or ads). I want to avoid having my SAMBA server join my (Active Directory) domain if at all possible. Am I asking the impossible? Can someone recommend the best or most appropriate method to use? I've tried the domain security witho...

Xen on CentOS 6.4
I heard talk of a centos-supported xen dom0 for CentOS 6.4, but I haven't heard talk of such a thing lately, and I haven't seen where to download it, which could just be me being stupid.
