pxelinux localboot 0 fails?
...br. According to the docs, if I specify localboot 0, it should return to the BIOS and continue to the next device. When I do this, though, the pxe agent exists (PXE-M0F), but the BIOS never continues on. Is this a BIOS issue? If so, has anyone else figured out a way to work around it? * Philip Molter * Texas.net Internet * http://www.texas.net/ * philip at texas.net

How does ext3 handle drive failures?
...nt the filesystem, and replace the drive? Or will the system panic? Or worse, will my application just enter an uninterruptible sleep never to return success or error? Obviously, we'll be doing our own testing, but any knowledge of these scenarios would be most appreciated. Philip * Philip Molter * Texas.Net Internet * http://www.texas.net/ * philip at texas.net

reading journal statistics
...y how much of the journal is waiting to be flushed to disk at any given time? Is there a way to get I/O statistics of data in and out of the journal? Honestly, I can't really find any information on how to get *any* stats on the journal device. Thank you for any information, Philip * Philip Molter * Texas.Net Internet * http://www.texas.net/ * philip@texas.net

hierarchy_sep
Hi Timo, I would like to add another naming scheme to dovecot to recognize maildir folders: As of today: ~/Maildir/.foo ~/Maildir/.foo.bar I would like to add: ~/Maildir/foo ~/Maildir/foo/bar I had a quick look at the code (very clean, I am impressed!) and I saw struct mail_storage, with field hierarchy_sep. I think I cannot just set hierarchy_sep to '/', because /foo would start from

EIO vs. ENOENT on disk failure
.../subdir/exist for writing fails ENOENT I would expect every one of these to fail with an EIO given that the underlying disk is gone and that's the cause of the failure. What's the logic behind returning ENOENT for stats and opens when the disk isn't there? Thanks, Philip * Philip Molter * Texas.Net Internet * http://www.texas.net/ * philip at texas.net

dovecot.procontrol.fi anonymous access fails?
Hi, just started using dovecot on FreeBSD. Nice and easy to configure :-) I then wanted to browse the dovecot mailing list, so, according to http://dovecot.procontrol.fi/mailinglists.html: IMAP archives available from dovecot.procontrol.fi, either use ANONYMOUS authentication or give anonymous as username and empty password. I was using a patched sylpheed that doesn't support
