Hi. I'm running on a Windows 98 client and an RS6000 with Samba 2.0.7 (latest). I've used "net time \\ibrissde /SET /YES" to sync the times between the two systems ... but if I save a file onto the RS6000 through Samba on a mapped drive the file in UNIX is 1 hour old. I haven't been able to find any help on this so I'm assuming it's a bug !? This was also true

...VG has caught and quarantined the problem, but the colorspace package is not available. I can use the package on my Linux OS, but, of course, Linux isn''t bothered by viruses. mb() typically uses mfence on modern x86, but a micro-benchmark shows that it's 2 to 3 times slower than lock; addl that we use on older CPUs. So we really should use the locked variant everywhere, except that intel manual says that clflush is only ordered by mfence, so we can't. Note: some callers of clflush seems to assume sfence will order it, so there could be existing bugs around
