Paid summer project: advanced integration of Xapian into MoinMoin wiki
Dear list readers,
I just wanted to tell that the MoinMoin wiki project is taking part in Google's
"Summer of Code 2006" and one of the project students might get paid for an
advanced integration of Xapian into MoinMoin wiki, exploiting what Xapian can do.
Required: you must be a university student, have Xapian knowledge and know
Python (Moi...

Disabling automatic links for mixed case in MoinMoin
Hi,
I would like to request to disable the behaviour where MoinMoin
automatically create a link for a mixed case word like NetworkManager.
Is that possible ?
Also, where are we regarding the external link icon (globe) ? Did anyone
object for using the one from trac ?

MoinMoin rpm
I see we are using MoinMoin on the CentOS wiki.
Is there an rpm available for this?
I'd like to install it on either a CentOS 3 or CentOS 4 system.

Testing Wiki migration - asking for testers
Hi nice people interested in CentOS Docs and wiki !
There were already threads about migrating the wiki to something else
(mediawiki, $other), or staying with moinmoin (what we now have in place).
This mail isn't about that thread (but feel free to start a new one
about that possible migration or not), but about just migrating the
current moinmoin instance from the current machine to a new one.
I've installed a test machine (CentOS 6, with selinux in enf...

I finally upgraded to MoinMoin v1.8.2 from old v1.5.8. Let me know if
something doesn't work right.

Wiki Choices
I have selected 4 software packages for us to evaluate in order to
decide on the best possible engine for the much-requested cAos
Community Wiki. All 4 samples are now up and running for you to try
out, play around with, and evalute. The URL's are as follows:

dovecot.org mirrors?
...gt; some names:
The mirroring setup is finished. There's a master server now handling
dovecot.org and a mirror server handling www/hg/wiki. Would be nice to
get another reliable fast mirror server if someone wants to donate
one :) Requirements are:
- Apache2 with WSGI
- Mercurial
- Patched moinmoin
- ssh + rsync so I can push changes immediately
I have a script that builds all of those on a freshly installed CentOS
5.6 (and a kickstart config to do the install too).

MoinMoin TableOfContents
Hi,
I constantly find myself fighting the wiki syntax. Today the problem is
that I want a TableOfContents that does NOT include the page title.
To be honest, I do not understand why the page title (level 1) is included
in the TOC, and why it does not appear in the head-title (<head><title>).
I found with Google that there is a syntax like:
[[TableOfContents(4,2)]]

About the new NUT website and the documentation rewrite project
Dear all,
I've released a first "beta" version of the rewritten website using
the MoinMoin wiki (as a CMS).
It's available here: http://test.networkupstools.org/
This way, the website is cuter, cleaner and more manageable.
It will also allows to offer more services, and to share some more
power for the website content, and software releases.
It will most of all allows us to consoli...

Dovecot aspects of fighting spam
I see no documents in the Dovecot documents wiki on how Dovecot
features can be used in the fight against spam. One hit came up in a
search, and it was about how to fight spam in the MoinMoin Wiki itself
(e.g. TextCHAs and such).
I already asked in another thread about removing message files at the
search from a designated "learn-spam" folder. My next question would
be how to automatically place detected spam into a specific folder for
the user to access or ignore as they de...

probably start the motions to have an official account something like
"linbit-usa" to publish the works under. I'm used to mediawiki,

rsnapshot page and wiki format converter
...,
check it out here on my website. If you'd create a page, I'd be more
than happy to post it.
<http://www.maxsworld.org/index.php/how-tos/rsnapshot-backups>
This leads me to the next question. Is there some type of converter to
run HTML to the wiki format that you are using. I think MoinMoin used to
be what you were using for the wiki. I didn't do a Google search, but
gladly will if you don't know of anything off hand.
Regards,
Max

Wiki page versioning
Hi all,
Marking Wiki pages/howtos by CentOS version was discussed a while ago.
How about using something like the attached MoinMoin (plugin) macro? It
adds a macro named 'CentOSVersion' that could mark the page at the
beginning of an howto in a uniform manner:
[[CentOSVersion(4,5)]]
This will draw a little table of the following form:
---------------------------
| CentOS version: | 4 | 5 |
---------------------------...
