Hi All, I have just compiled the newest version of mpg123 on a RedHat 9.0 system (mpg321 has not been installed) and I am using the newest CVS version of asterisk. Whenever I place any mp3 files in the /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3/ directory, Asterisk crashes a horrible fiery death. If mp3s exist in that directory, then I can't even start Asterisk. If I start it without files then copy them over, then it crashes. If I use the mp3player() app then it crashes. Using mpg123 -t filename.mp3 seems to be fine. If you...

Hi I thought I share this one, just in case this is an indication of some bug ... When I was trying to use music on hold at first, I didn't bother to copy any music into /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3 since there was a sample- hold.mp3 in there which played just fine in a standalone MP3 player. But after uncommenting one of the lines in musiconhold.conf and doing reload on the console, there was only silence when putting a caller on hold. I have the following in extensions.conf: exten => 2100,1,Answer exten => 2100,2,MusicOnHold(default) and have uncommented the "default" line in musiconhold.conf: [classes] default => quietmp3:/var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3 I also installed mpg123, and created a symlink to /usr/bin (which is where it seems asterisk looks for it).
