SUSE 10.0 and MGE Ellipse
...Same if I unplug and reconnect the USB cable, a new device is created with the wrong permissions (root:root/0644). I suppose I could write myself an init script to fix the permissions before NUT starts, but I'd rather just get hotplug to do what is expected of it. Any ideas? I've increased polling frequencies in upsmon.conf to the point that I get only one "Communications lost" before it starts to work, but I can't

If you make a reboot the psp hangs up and if you try /etc/init.d/ups it fails: Starting service NUT: -> Starting UPS driver: Network UPS Tools -

SUSE 10.0 packaging
This thread is FYI. I don't need any help here. I have SUSE 10.0 and an MGE Ellipse. I installed the NUT package from MGE. 1) The generated ups.conf pointed to a bad location: /dev//dev/input/event0 2) The hidups driver will not work with SUSE 10 out of the box. To make it work (which was academic because I prefer newhidups), I had to: a) Customize the kernel to exclude
